My name is Sean and I do screams and play bass for Charred Graves.
2.What / Who made you want to sing?
probably when i first heard bands like blessthefall and Escape the Fate around 2011 I got heavily into vocals after that.
3.Who was the first singer you saw live that gave you chills?
Alex Terrible from Slaughter to Prevail.
4.Many people say heavy music is just screaming, How would you combat that statement?
Essentially it is screaming but there is a great amount of breath control involved. It isnt easy to do and takes a lot of time to learn.
5.If you growl or do harsh vocals how do you keep your voice after such violent performances?
Drinking warm water and sucking on cough drops before and after the show can really help soothe the voice. Vocal warm ups are also very important.
6. Do you have a warm up routine? Tell u bout it ?
Usually ill drink a lot of warm water and hum until my lips vibrate together to get the chords warmed up.
7. Do you think power or performance is more important?
i think both are important but power maybe a little more so because without good power and technique you want be able to put on the best show possible.
8. Who do you think gets unfair vocal praise, someone the world thinks is great but is not? / And
who is great but does not get the credit?
I'm personally not too keep on Billie Eilish but I don't judge people for listening to her. Probably on of the best vocalists in my opinion is Kyo from Dir En Grey. He can do everything.
