1.Please tell us about the about the band and its members.
-Greetings, this is Luka Djordjevic (vocals) answering your questions.
Prezir was formed 2016 as Rory, Brian and I were looking to start a new project that embodied black metal extremity and shunned all the trappings of modernity within the genre. We wrote and recorded our 2017 EP “Contempt”. Later we recruited Tyler and Jerry. This year, we're releasing our first full-length on Godz OV War Productions on September 17th named “As Rats Devour Lions”. The lineup for this record, as well as our live lineup is as follows:

2.Who does the majority of the writing? Is it a group thing or does someone handle the writing duties?
-The lions share of the riff writing and musical arrangements are handled by Rory. Tyler has made significant contributions on that end in two of the songs on this record. Brian helps with the arrangement, and obviously writes all of the drums. My contributions come in the form of lyrics/theme and artwork.
3.Where is the band based out of ? Where did you want to the band to end up? What was the dream city to have as your home base once you got out of your scene?
-We all live in Milwuakee Wisconsin.
4.What is your genre? What bands do you use to explain to people what you sound like?
-Prezir is a black metal band first and foremost. That being said, we certainly have both thrash and death metal influences in spades.
Black metal: Deströyer 666, Dawn, and Emperor)
Thrash: (Megadeth and Slayer)
Death: (Morbid Angel, Immolation, and Deicide)
5.Can we buy anything from you Cd's shirts etc and where can we buy them?
-Currently, you can purchase our EP both digitally and on CD from our Bandcamp. The cassette version of the full-length will be available there too soon. You'll be able to buy the CD version from the Godz OV War merch store and Bandcamp upon release.
6.Do you have studio time lined up anything new coming soon?
-We just recently got out of the studio for “As Rats Devour Lions”. It was recorded with Shane Hochstetler at Howl Street Recordings.
7.Have you ever been on tour? If so where and with who?
-Prezir has not toured, and will not do so, unless the right opportunity presents itself.
8.What is your favorite band? Who are the bands who influenced you?
-Choosing one favorite is nearly impossible, but if pressed on the issue, I'd have to say Deicide. They're personally the first death metal band I fell in love with, along with Morbid Angel. There are way to many bands to name that influenced me over the years, but, I'll list several. Deicide, Dissection, Emperor, and Marduk are a few I find influential.
9.Do you have a website? And do I have to verify that I am 18 to enter it?
-The only websites that we regularly use and update are our Bandcamp and Facebook.

10.What about your music do you want people to remember? What is the quality you want to hit people when they hit play?
-Well...the music. We'd like them to remember the riffs, the arrangements, drumming, vocals and the message. An appreciation of the art is also welcome.
11.Name a person who is integral to your band that nobody knows about , what person drives your band like they are part of the band? Who is the extra member ?
-No such person exists.

13.What is your musical guilty pleasure that you are ashamed of?
-I have no shame in my musical tastes. The best I can do is give you some bands that I personally enjoy that one wouldn't typically expect a black metal singer to listen to. Riblja Corba(Serbian rock band), The Rolling Stones,Garmarna and Stille Volk are a few.
14.If you could custom build a band who would be the members?
-If I could organize a super group, mine would personally look a lot like this:

15.Message to the fans? What is it?
-Prezir is a Serbian word that means contempt. We are thusly named because the goal of this band, and the music that we write is to create acrimonious heavy metal in the vein of our influences, with a mutual disgust for the safety of modern metal. The nature of ideological dogmas and herd like adherence to the fables of superstitious charlatans is anathema to the pursuit of intellect and reason. Bad ideas are best fought with good ideas and truths. Derision of the false is essential to the preservation of philosophy.
