1. Please tell us about the about the band and its members.
Rainfall Today - Alternative metal band from St.Petersburg, Russia
Date of creation of the band can be considered winter-spring of 2015, when were a part Jana and Ildar.
During this time the first demos have been record: Pain and I Will Burn.
The first concert of group was held on September 6, 2015. the group's lineup has changed several times, but the main skeleton has always been one. Now the members is: Dmitry (Sam) Samsonenko- guitar, music,owner of the band, Yana Samarina - vox, text, Alexander Prokhorov- guitar, music, Alexander Korolev - electronic,critic
2. Who does the majority of the writing? Is it a group thing or does someone handle the writing
duties?
-All text write our vocalist Yana, and some little parts of music for some songs, the main part of music and fixing all together (guitars, bass, piano, drums)-write our guitarist Dmitry, and some parts write Alex P!
3. Where is the band based out of ? Where did you want to the band to end up? What was the
dream city to have as your home base once you got out of your scene?
-Now we are based in Russia, Saint-Petersburg. Our vocalist was living in Israel for 5 years, and traveling a lot now. We think we have't dream city, but it would be cool have our own home with studio somewhere in forest, in Finland or Sweden! To making music there, chilling and be inspired by nature.
4. What is your genre? What bands do you use to explain to people what you sound like? It's really hard to explain. Actually we are tell that we're playing alternative metal, but at this time, we're think that the concept of alternative is very vague. There is a lot of people, who says that we are sounds like Guano Apes or Evanescence, just because of voice of our vocalist, it makes it easier for them to recognize Our music! We Think that each work is unique and difficult to compare with someone. We just can say that we are playing in OUR STYLE, OUR MUSIC :)
5. Can we buy anything from you Cd & shirts etc and where can we buy them?
- Yes, we have a t-shirts, sticker, posters and ect, you can just write us on facebook :)
6. Do you have studio time lined up anything new coming soon?
- We are already finish our working on the album -Eternal, it was hard work, you can listen it now from 28 june on all music websites! Itunes, google play and ect. Now we have a little time of rest and then will start new songs for the second album!
7. Have you ever been on tour? If so where and with who?
-We was making just a little tour (some 3-4 cities in Russia) and thats all now, but we are really want to do that in Europe this autumn!
8. What is your favorite band? Who are the bands who influenced you?
- For each members of our band -its different music, but we are highlight the bands like Deftones, Alice in Chains, Gojira, Evanescence,Asking Alexandria and a lot of different music in different styles!
9. Do you have a website? And do I have to verify that I am 18 to enter it?
-We are working on it now!
10. What about your music do you want people to remember? What is the quality you want to hit
people when they hit play?
-We want people to remember our atmosphere, mood, energy and drive!
11. Name a person who is integral to your band that nobody knows about , what person drives
your band like they are part of the band? Who is the extra member ?
It's really good question!! :) We are don't hide in the shaddow this person haha- its our sofa critic It's sounds really fun! It's Alex Korolev, he helps us in a lot of things! He is a valuable Member of the band!
12. Tell nerds like me tell us about your live rig and equipment.
Its easy, we can tell just about our instruments- there is two guitars now- Dean rc8x
And Ibanez rgir27fe-bk, 7 and 8 strings!!! And microthone Sure SM58!
13.What is your musical guilty pleasure that you are ashamed of?
We are not shamed it, but maybe a little - its a thirst recording of our song PAIN. its awfull haha don't try to search it!
14.If you could custom build a band who would be the members?
I wish it will be a mix of all this groups that we list higher!
