Here's one from LORD !

* does anyone else notice in one of the pictures dude is playing a BELL? That my friends is METAL!

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

DUGAY [bass]: Will (guitar) is the lone founding member of LORD since 2004, Kerch has been with LORD since 2011, Todd has been with the band since early 2015, Tommy since this summer (Thanks Tommy for helping us out & being a cool cat w/skills) & myself since summer 2014. Generally speaking, we’ve all met at shows &/or shared the stage and have mutual respect for what each other brings to the table.

RIVERA [guitar]: Lord began in the spring of 2005 with the original line-up consisting of myself on guitar,Stephen Sullivan on drums,Andy Murray on vocals and Rob Gouldman on bass.We originally started out as a side project but quickly turned into a full time gig after all of our main bands fell apart a few months apart. We've weathered many line-up changes throughout the years with myself being the only constant throughout.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

DUGAY: Will can verify but part due to a label called “Sludgelord”, they cut it in half, liked the simplicity of “LORD” & how that name can invoke so many responses by people when it’s uttered.

RIVERA: The story behind the band's name was just to have something simple, concise and powerful...easy to remember. It was the time when so many bands seemed to be adopting sentences for names so we figured one word, one syllable.Little did we realize how much of a pain in the ass it would be to search online and no,it was never meant to have any religious or spiritual affiliation whatsoever.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

DUGAY: Originally Frederickburg, VA and been from Fairfax City since 2014. The scene is alive but I dare say it depends on what your tastes are. There are spots in Baltimore, the Fairfax region, Prince William County, VA & all the way out to Berkeley Springs, WV. One Slack Mind, Iris Divine, Faries Death Waltz, Shumaun, Silence the Blind & last but not least Sluagh. Each band covers aspects of Metal that should quench one’s thirst.

RIVERA: The band was originally based out of Fredericksburg,Va but relocated to Fairfax when Stephen Sullivan left the band in 2014.There's a pretty thriving scene with lots of great talent, there's a ton of great bands that I'd recommend.A few that come to mind would be:Alluvion,Grethor,Iris Divine,Silence The Blind,The Osedax,Genosha,Kysmet,Flood The Asylum,One Slack Mind,Sluagh and so many more. It's a very eclectic scene and there's shows pretty much every weekend with some devoted promoters who've taken it upon themselves to keep the scene going when so many others threw in the towel.

4. How would you describe your style?

DUGAY: Metal in all its various forms with a strong doomy/sludgy foundation.

RIVERA: I would consider Lord's style to be a big melting pot of 40 years of extreme music, taking in different styles from sludge, doom, death, black, noise rock, hardcore punk and classic rock. We've always tried to not pigeonhole ourselves or get backed into a corner so every release is different than the one before.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

DUGAY: I’ve been apart of x1 split & x3 full length records. The LORD entity has done I believe 7+ releases of some variant. Check out https://lordisbadass.bandcamp.com/ for our material that is available.

RIVERA: To date,we've released 4 full lengths, several eps and are about to release our 5th and final full length album on Aug.24th,Desperation Finds Hunger In All Men.All of this material is available on our Bandcamp page which you can access through our Facebook page...www.facebook.com/lordisbadass

6. Do you have any new music in the works?

DUGAY: We did.

RIVERA: We had begun writing new material but with the band breaking up soon, there wasn't much point in following through. We'll be moving onto other projects and we'll continue to be creative within those but the music we'd started to write won't be released.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

DUGAY: Not too long ago, we were offered to play a gig in Finland but that fell through, outside of that, our last gig will be 4 Aug in Baltimore, MD supporting Dreadnought from Colorado. After that, it depends on the projects we all decide to pursue.

RIVERA: We'll be playing our final show on Aug.4th with Dreadnoughtand Byrgan at The Depot in Baltimore.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

DUGAY: R.I.P. 4 Aug 2018. Will has decided to navigate into other musical waters & the rest of us are either going to continue doing some musical project &/or go our separate ways worse case. I’m certain that I want to continue playing music in some format & before LORD’s demise came about, I’ve done off & on jams with an old drummer of mine & it’s been a blast. In short, only time will tell. I wish things could’ve ended “better” for the entity that is LORD but life is a book full of chapters & whether I like it or not, this one is closing.

RIVERA: As discussed earlier,we'll be releasing our 5th and final full length on Aug.24th and that will be Lord's final statement.we'll still be handling interviews and promotion for the album as they come but there will be no shows to promote it or any new material coming.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?

DUGAY: 4 Aug 2018 at the Depot in Bmore, MD. Or at https://lordisbadass.bandcamp.com/

RIVERA: All of our recorded material is currently on our Bandcamp page where you can also purchase other merchandise from us.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

DUGAY: The positive musical groovy onslaught of Metals.

RIVERA: I prefer the listener to make their own decisions when it comes to interpreting our music but if they take anything away from it,i hope that it's that weve always maintained our artistic integrity and were honest in how we wrote and what we tried to convey...Anything else is up to the listener to decide.
