This month's winner of Unsigned Band of the Month is Redefind from South Carolina.

We spoke with the band prior to this publication, here's what they had to say:

1.) What's the name of your band and where are you located.

REdEFIND Greenville SC

2.) Where did you all meet and describe to us how you formed your band.

Drew and Dustan started jamming in our old band X-Mas when we was 18/19. We knew Dru from being in other bands and Jordan from his time in the metalcore band A mile at sea. We jammed with Dru after our then guitarist quit the band. It just clicked! Jordan joined the band when our old vocalist Branden had to leave the band because of a motorcycle accident.

REdEFIND started after X-mas fell apart. We went threw some line up changes until we got to this point.

3.) How did you decide your band name?

Our original vocalist came up with the band name. It describes us as we REdEFIND ourselves musically and personalities.

4.) How long have you been a band?

This current line up has been going at it a year. Drew, Dru and Dustan have been playing for about five years. Dustan and Drew have been playing since they was 18

6.) Bands you have played with?

Mushroomhead, Butcher Babies, Saliva, Hed Pe, Trapt, Islander, Avatar, Noself and tons of killer regional bands..

Soulfly, Soil, 36 Crazyfists, Fire from the gods, Upon a burning body, Volumes

7.) Major accomplishments?

Played a ton of shows and we had a lot of big things happening this year BUT covid put a dampening on that. But we have made the best of it.

8.) Goals?

Tour, make another ep, more videos and keep having fun

9.) Tell us about your Biggest/ best show?

We sorta have a combo of best shows. We sorta play every show like it’s our last.

10.) Any radio airplay?

We have had radio play from quite a few radio stations and tons of podcasts. We appreciate all of them that have helped us out along the way.

11.) Any Label intrest yet?

We have had some. We recently started working with Wavelink agency on booking shows and what not.

12. Let's discuss the demographics of your social media accounts.

Where are people listening to you the most based off of your Spotify and YouTube, etc accounts?

YouTube and Spotify

13.) Any awards like Battle of the Band winner, Band of the Month, etc?

We have been band of the month on quite a few different groups. We are about to be in a magazine in the U.K. called NU Sound

14.) How are you marketing your band?

DIY and our friend in Dropout Kings help us out a lot.

15.) Let's discuss your gear.

Jordan uses a helix mic and Drew uses a shure sm58

Dru uses schecter guitars, Mesa boogie amps

Drew uses ampeg amps and Mesa boogie cabs

Dustan plays Palmetto drums, sabian cymbals and Wuhan China cymbals. Pork pie throne and snare drums

16.) Day jobs?

Jordan is Cook/manager of a restaurant

Drew is a I.T guy

Dru is a jack of all trades (carpenter, mechanic etc)

Dustan is a groundskeeper

Fingers crossed that one day music will be our full day jobs😉

17.) Describe your music to us in one sentence.

Energetic metal with hip hop influences

18.) Influences?

Korn, Dance Gavin Dance, In flames, Nonpoint, Bring me the horizon, Biggie Smalls

19.) Can you explain what you want to accomplish on stage???

We want to bring energy and a good time. We want to bring ppl together and lift up everyone.

20.) What would your band like to accomplish if you were signed?

To bring unity

BOTTOM LINE:

Redefind absolutely brings the heat!!!

Mixing nu metal with a hip hop vibe, they're right in line with Korn in my opinion.. but still true to themselves and what their creating. This band believes in what their doing and I believe in them.
