AN OLD SCHOOL ALBUM REVIEW featuring DISEASED EARTH

On this episode of An Old School Album Review we're discussing DISEASED EARTH.

https://www.facebook.com/diseasedearth/

We spoke with the band prior to this review here's what they had to say:

Tuning:

we are in Drop B.

We’ve gotten to honor to play with bands such as Crowbar, Earthling, Moon tooth, Alluvion, Cut The Architects Hand, Alcindor, Vomit Stain and many others.

Getting asked to open for Crowbar twice was a pretty great accomplishment and also getting to play at Skatopia as well.

Our only goals are to play as much as we can and show people the power of the riff and have a blast while doing it.

Once at a show, a dude was so wasted and trying to talk to us about our music and called is a death metal Deftones, even though we have no clean vocals at all. Not quite sure where he got that from, but he was also very wasted haha.

LET'S GET TO THE REVIEW:

GRIEF EATER:

You can really hear the lower tones on this..

if you like sic down beats and heavy growls this is the band for you..

Probably the heaviest song I've heard in a while.

LIVE FOOTAGE

https://youtu.be/gK8sU-YwfME

This is what we're looking for!!!

The stage presence is good..

In this video the crowd is going wild because the singer is out there with them, so the band just grooves on stage.

The lead singer looks like he's starting a riot which is really cool you don't see many bands out there like that, but I noticed that they have to stay away from him because he's really aggressive in his movements which isn't a bad thing but it takes the crowd away from the stage..

Production on this video is really good..

Coven of Leeches was badass..

When the band shows movement the crowd shows movement I really like it when the band actually gets into it with some headbanging.. it never hurts you can't just stand there..

A Voiceless Grave was good too..

I like how this band handles themselves it sounds like they do a lot in their community and people love them..

It's SIC live and that's super important..

Our band would like to jam with these guys.

BOTTOM LINE:

This band has a strong and loyal following.. because their live show is top notch. But I'm willing to bet that they're very down-to-earth and super nice people. I was very impressed with the movements of the singer he dominated his entire area.. it's just something that the whole band needs to do as well. When they got into it the energy level went through the roof and that's very important.
