1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
KIARA: Rockstar Frame & Kiara Laetitia have two separate histories which have been united last year. As for myself, I joined symphonic metal band Skylark in 2003, released a few albums with them, toured Europe, US, China and especially Japan, had one album at number 3 in the Japanese charts, then went solo in 2011 and in 2013 I released an EP Fight Now with David DeFeis from Virgin Steele. The EP got at number 15 in the Amazon charts in Italy. As for Rockstar Frame, they released their first album Rock N Roll Mafia in 2015 through my label and with a completely different line up. They supported Backyard Babies in Russia and gigged in Italy and Eastern Europe. Then, like it happens to many bands unfortunately, they had issues inside the band and Max (drummer and founder) was the only one left. The line up changed with its current members (Alex on bass, Sirio on keyboards and Dom on guitars) and, as they say, the rest is history
2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
KIARA: Max created the monicker Rockstar Frame coming from the fact that he always wanted to be a ‘rockstar’, intended as musician but also lifestyle, and the word frame that is the smallest unit in a video. Overall the meaning is moments as a rockstar. Each one of us can have our rockstar moment if we believe in ourselves.
3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are
there any local bands you could recommend?
KIARA: Rockstar Frame is based in Italy while I live between London and Italy. All of the recordings were done in Italy and we will rehearse for the upcoming shows in Italy. Italian pop music and now hip hop are really popular in Italy, while there’s not really a scene for rock and metal. I think this is due to the fact that rock and metal are sung in English and Italians are very connected to their native language and roots. In the UK, it’s completely different thank God! There are many genres and rock and metal are more popular. There’s a history for these genres and many known bands from the UK. There’s one ‘local’ band in the UK that I can recommend, Deadly Circus Fire. Also Voodoo Diamond who just released their first album.
4. How would you describe your style?
KIARA: If we had to label our music, I’d say hard rock, but it has many influences from the symphonic world (keyboards), some programming, some more metal parts. It’s really diversified, which is something that I think makes our sound unique. We don’t like to stick to a particular style or label, we do what we like and hope that people who listen like it too.
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your
works?
KIARA: As Rockstar Frame & Kiara Laetitia, Bulletproof is the first album we release together. It came out on June 15th, anticipated by the single Luv Calamity.
6. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
KIARA: We are rehearsing and prepping the show this summer so we can tour from September. We’re creating something really unique and cannot wait to take it to the stage. We’re talking with our booking agent about shows, as soon as they’re confirmed, we’ll announce them on our social media (www.facebook.com/rockstarframe, www.facebook.com/kiaralaetitiaofficial ) and everywhere online.
7. What plans do you have for the future as a band?
KIARA: Our immediate goal is to promote the new album Bulletproof, take it to the stage and share our music. We’re already planning the second single and video out of the album, which most likely will come out in September, right before we go on tour.
8. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
KIARA: Our new album Bulletproof is available everywhere online (iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Spotify) and also as physical CD. These are some of the links where you can find the album:

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your
music for the first time?
KIARA: I think the goal, which for me is a mission, is to inspire people with my music, to make them dream, laugh, cry and be in their lives even for just five minutes. I hope my music and lyrics can help them through some tough times, like some artists did with me. I hope they can let go and let music speak. It’s the best I can ask.
Thanks for this interview!
