1. Siniestro started in late 2012 by me (Guitars,vocals) & The Machine (Drums). We played together in a death/thrashband called Graverape Ritual from 2010-2012 but there were always issues to get all the members focused on the same mission so we just said fuck it. Why waste time when not everybody is on the same page? No hard feelings towards the other guys, we just didn’t match in the end. Anyways, we decided to do our own thing and that was the birth of Siniestro. For the first EP ”Oppression of the sunlight” we did all the work by ourselves in the recording process and handling the instruments. The Machine played the drums and I did vocals, guitars & bass. After that we started to book liveshows so then we needed to find a bass player so then we welcomed Mr Bloodbag who joined us from 2014-2016,  when he decided to seek for another musical direction. In January 2017 we were joined by Mr. Bassriot who is handling the down low tunes with us today. For me the 3-piece is the ultimate line-up. It is not that common in metal, its more a punk thing. I Think it is a lot harder and it will put a lot more pressure on you as a musician but it also gives you way more freedom if you know what I mean?I like to live on the edge, Im not afraid to take on the hardest of missions. No guts no glory no legend no story.


2. The name Siniestro is spanish for the english name Sinister, meaning something evil and dark with describes our music perfect. We were thinking about an english name for some time but pretty much every name in taken these days. The Machine origins from Santiago, Chile so he asked me : Why not a spanish name? Siniestro! I looked into it and thought it was a great idea.


3. Today the band is located in Stockholm Sweden. As I mentioned before The Machine is from Chile but he moved here in 2006. I am from the northern part of Sweden, from a small town called Kiruna that is located north of the arctic circle.  Bassriot is the only member born and raised in Stockholm. The scene today is alive and kicking. There are a lot of underground movement today and has been for the last 3 years I would say, especially in the blackmetal scene. Bands like Avslut & Wormwood  are up and rising.


4. From the start we decided that we do not want to get put into a specific genre. We are not the most technical band in the world. We are not the fastest playing but also far from the slowest. We do not follow trends, directions or orders. We do not apologize or compromise. We play a style of metal that is a mix of thrash,black,death,punk or whatever you like to call it.


5. So far we have released one EP ”Oppression of the sunlight” and one full length album ”Revelations In Mayhem” via the german label Bleeding Heart Nihilist. Earlier this year we signed a deal with the swedish label Black Lion Records and we have released the single ”Arctic Blood” in March and we are going to complete it into an EP to be released in august. As I said before, we do not follow trends or styles so every recording we do will differ from the other a bit. Not that we change styles totally between the albums, what I mean is that our current state of mind will very much determine how the songs are coloured and nursed so to say. Sometimes faster sometimes slower, sometimes more angry and sometimes full of hatred.


6. We are always in the state were we have 4-5 new song ideas ready to roll. We usually try out a lot of new songs live before we even recorded any demos. Thiis gives us an instant response from the audience and we can take that into the process of develop the song before recording it.


7. We just finished a tour in Czech Republic here in April and we are returning to Czech Republic again this summer to the Open Air Festival ”Enter The Eternal Fire” in July. In September we are going on a tour in Central America alongside our brothers in Heresy. We will play in Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua & El Salvador.


8. We will continue on the same path as always, wherever that may lead us. All that I can say is that we grow every day, both musically and as persons. I have no doubt in what we can create, so wait and see. There are too many bands out there talking shit about each other behind each others back etc. We need nothing of that bullshit. We stand where we stand and our music will do the rest of the work.

10.The emotions & the feeling of the music. You can instantly feel and hear that we are humans. We are not a breed of machines that play something that we don’t believe in just to impress someone or trying to fit in to some specific genre etc. Love us or hate us. That is not the important thing. Without different opinions in the taste of music, everything in this world would
