CHRIST ON PARADE's A Mind Is A Terrible Thing full-length is set to be re-released alongside NEUROSIS' debut album, Pain Of Mind. Both initially released in 1987, these two albums will see a simultaneous worldwide reissue on LP, CD, and digital formats on May 25th. The artwork for A Mind Is A Terrible Thing has been updated by Ross Sewage (Impale, Exhumed) and remastered by Bob Weston at Chicago Mastering.

When I listen to this record I am instantly transported back to a time that seems like literally two or three lifetimes from where we are all now. CHRIST ON PARADE and NEUROSIS shared a practice space in a couple of different buildings in West Oakland during these days, we worked together in our day jobs, we ate together, and in our never-ending quest for mind expansion, riff harvesting, and total annihilation, we spent our lost weekends together as well. Bonded in a Family that stands to this day.
CHRIST ON PARADE had this thing about them, it was very hard to pin down. It was a glorious din, a dirge, an anarchistic scream from the depths of their souls. The music was so far beyond what anyone was thinking about or doing at the time, ultra-progressive, yet at the same time deeply rooted in the original Punk vibe and sound. Their shows were live energy that was fueled by everything in us and around us at the time, and it made for a very combustible environment whenever they were on the stage. Most times they totally destroyed the room, on occasion it was a complete implosion, either way it was fucking great and it was delivered with heart, integrity, and no pretense.
In many ways I will always miss these days of our first trips into space together, but I am so honored and privileged to have had the opportunity to be there and feel it, hear it, and see it in its realest way. Now for those of you who were there too you can transport back with the rest of us to this time, for those of you who didn't get that chance, let this wash over you. Feel the urgency, the desperation, the fear, the independence and the life that was this amazing band. To Todd, Malcolm, Doug, and Noah I will always love you all and thank you for what you gave to me and this electric church that we all live in. - Scott Kelly
