Dominia formed in St. Petersburg, Russia as the last millennium died. They stole the hearts of those who heard them weaving their yearning, lovelorn, dreaming doom, leaving listeners haunted. With each release Dominia’s reputation grew and more and more devotees were drawn into their finely woven web of romance and regret. The albums grew progressively more powerful and emotive, from 2006s Divine Revolution to 2017s Stabat Mater and in 2018 Morningstar Heathens Music Group stepped in and signed the band. The signing was celebrated with a showcase gig in London, the band’s first in the UK, which was sponsored by Zero Tolerance Magazine.
Since that signing Dominia have released three singles and an EP with MSH Music Group and on December 20th they will unveil their first full length album for the label; The Withering Of The Rose.
The album is a tour de force of enthralling dark metal, a pool of shadows to drown in, an all encompassing experience that will bewitch the souls of those who are drawn into its arms.
Before the album steps out from between the soft folds of night, into the cold December sunlight, we present you with a new single taken from the pages of its story. ‘Suprema’ is a love song, but not in the typical sense, as the band’s front man, Anton Rosa explains:
“The song is not about a human, it’s about the absolute love for the Narayana – the absolute.”
‘Suprema’ is the perfect introduction to the majestic music to be found on The Withering Of The Rose and a beautiful path to follow into the twilight world of Dominia.
Current line up:
Anton Rosa - vocals/bass
Papa - drums
Denis Sukharev - guitar
Michael Morozkin - violin
