-Hi, we are band Aeternus Prophet from Ukraine (Kyiv region, fastiv town.) and playing black/death metal since 2010. Nowadays lineup is Abaddon – vocal, Oberon – guitar, Dessident – drums.
In general, we do a lot of things for ourselves, we are mainly developing and relaxing, we are having fun in Ukraine now. (That is not easy for us to deal with the Ukrainian music industry)
2. When did you decide you wanted to be in a band?
When we studied at universities, we decided to create a group in 2008, but due to all-round problems, we created it only in 2010.
3. What is different about being a musician than you imagined?
Differs in many factors, we thought that being a musician is easy and simple, but in reality expectation and reality are very substantial. At the beginning of the creation of the group is very difficult, but the main thing is to start, to gain momentum, and slowly move towards the goal.
Here all people see only one side of the musician’s life, without facing all sorts of difficulties that the musicians themselves face it.
4. What gear do you use and why?
we all play mostly on rental equipment, but some of us prefer individual aspects:
guitarist - Oberon, uses inexpensive guitars, but he himself modifies all his guitars with bas-relief woodcarving. from guitar amplifiers, he likes the firm orange
the drummer is Dessident, now he doesn’t have his own drum set, he has a set of zildjian cymbals, and he had his own gimbal that he was beaten on tour in Poland
vocalist - Abaddon also does not have his own microphone, he sings on the microphone of the rehearsal base
5. What music do you listen to that would surprise people?
We all listen to mostly different heavy music, and our preferences are rarely similar and do not overlap, for example, guitarist - Oberon listens
Ufomammut, Yuri Gagarin, Zaraza, P.H.O.B.O.S, Nokturnal Mortum, Agathodaimon, Siebenbürgen.
drummer Dessident listens Kreator, Slipknot, Mayhem, Svartidauði, Funeral, Deathspell Omega.
vocalist - Abaddon listens Behemoth, Slipknot, Mushroomhead, Metallica, The Berzerker, Dope, Dirtyprotest.

7. How did you get a record deal? Or do you want a record deal or are you DIY?
We published our first full-length album ourselves, with our own strength and capabilities. for the release of the second album we signed a contract with a large Ukrainian label Metal Scrap Records.
8. What bands do people compare your music to?
Sometimes we are compared to Novembers Doom, Rotting Christ, Sceptic Flesh, Belphegor, and Behemoth.
9. Are you pro Spotify / streaming services ? Or do you think it hurts sales?
We do not like the Internet traffic data, they have a negative impact on physical releases, and this brings groups not very positive impact and result.

Well, we will be doing a tour of Poland, the Czech Republic in the spring of 2019. Come can meet. ))
12. Who would you love to tour with?
We certainly would like to go on tour with Mayhem, Behemoth, Cannibal Corpse.
13. What is your favorite song of yours and why?
guitarist - Oberon: I like the song "Za Kosmosom" by Yuri Gagarin, I like the song because of its interesting atmosphere
drummer Dessident : I like the song "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath because it reflects the whole essence of rock - n - roll, and opens the whole essence of live music.
vocalist - Abaddon: I like the song "People=Shit" by Slipknot because I'm a misanthrope and a sociopath
14. Why should people take the time to listen to your band over the thousands of other bands?
Because we create a unique mix of styles, you can listen and also understand what we are talking about. And because our texts motivate people not to sit still, but to fight for themselves, to act, to win. not only let snot because of small problems

16. Is imagery important to you? Do you judge albums by the cover?
Well, here as well as with books, it is impossible to find out what's inside, behind beautiful covers, you need to open, “see”, listen. But we can definitely say that the cover for the metal groups is still a very important component, it creates its own atmosphere, and complements the musical atmosphere by creating the addition of visual images in the human brain.
17. If you could choose a cover song your band mates would hate what would it be?
We will not do this, we have and so there is a tense atmosphere among themselves.
