The EP opens up with Abyss, a song that addresses the issue of depression, analyzing how one can become slaves to one’s demons. Abyss also addresses the issue of moral hazard, when one has to choose how to deal with discomfort. This is followed with Reflections
which talks about the all-Italian problem of functional illiteracy. Man
is a social animal but if he is not educated, he will remain an animal
moved by primitive instincts. In this society appearance is more
important than education, and this is leading to an involution of the
species. Episode 0 closes with Reckoning, an instrumental outro, both alluring and seductive.
