Demetrio “Dimitry” Scopelliti

Demetrio “Dimitry” Scopelliti is a diverse guitar player, composer & producer. Having been known to the audience with his band Arcadia (5 albums and 20 years of touring with major bands as Six Feet Under, Mnemic, Illdisposed, Trivium, Obituary, Henry rollins, opening for Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Mastodon and many others) after graduating at the European Music College in Milan, Italy, he releases his first album Evolution in 2008, Codex Magika in 2012 and the full length album “The Art of Complications” in 2016, plus several other records under different names and music shapes.

The genre might be defined as Instrumental ProgMetalCore, since it’s a mix between instrumental progressive music (Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Plini, David Maxim Micic) and Heavy Metal (Meshuggah, Devin Townsend, Dream Theater etc.). It has been written and produced between 2016 and 2018 and features as guests some of the most known world class musicians as “Marco Minnemann” on drums, Mattias IA Eklund on some guitar solos, Jørgen Munkeby from Shining (No) on sax and many, many others. “The Silent Watcher” consists of 8 songs plus 2 bonus tracks ecorded at the legendary Noiz Faktory in Texas in January 2018.

Dimitry is currently endorsed by: legator Guitars, randall Amps, Hotone Audio (pedals), lundgren Pickups, Chicken Picks and Mercuriall Audio. He’s annually playing at the main music conventions as the Namm show, Musikmesse, Music China and he costantly holds clinics and playing tours all over the world.
