THE DEEP END INTERVIEW : Silvia Panic / Toxic Army
1.Why Bass?
I started playing the guitar but, after a couple of years, I tried bass and discovered that was truly my type of sound.
2.Do you think it is unfair or just lack of knowledge bass gets so little credit?
Absolutely. Our work is as important as any other in the band.
3.What kind of bass do you use?
Model , color , year , And why
Yamaha BBG5S Sunburst 1998 :)
4.Tell us about your amplification
Ashdown EVO III
5. With all of that being said do you feel tone is an important thing for bass?
Of course it is.. What kinda question is that?! ;)
6.Do you prefer 5 strings over 4 string?
Yes, 5.
7.Who is your favorite bassist?
No one. I’ve never had a bassist idol.. I like bands, not individuals.
8. Who is your least favorite bassist?
Idem.
9.Why do you think women seem to be attracted to playing bass?
Because we might think it’s initially a more simple instrument to start with. Beeing a woman in rock/metal has not always beeing easy. But, fortunately, that massive-bassist-girl thing has overcome.
10. What bassist dead or alive would you like a private lesson with?
It wouldn’t be that kind of privacy ;)
11. Bonus question
Bobby Doll , Nikki Sixx , Les Claypool , Billy Sheehan which is more ridiculous and why?
None of them. They’re successful professional and they deserve some respect for their work, even we like it or not.
