Thats right I said it THE CRASH TEST DUMMIES! 99.9 % of any metalhead reading this just screeched to a halt and THAT my friend is your loss. Is it like an album from Kids in The Hall full of parables and that creepy ass deep voice guy? Bingo you nailed it HOWEVER along with that it is also the very first song to enter the Billboard Top Ten with a song not including a vowel in the title
"MMMMM , MMMM ,MMMM ,MMMM" Yep look it up.
This article or opinion piece is NOT trying to convince you to like the band ,This is about the need for kids to look for talent outside of Metal that they can appreciate because this album "God Shuffled His Feet" has one of the best BASS performances of all time! It is not Jon Myung , Billy Sheehan , Les Claypool no its Dan Roberts
some Canadian dude off in the corner laying down what I believe is a tapestry not to be ignored. In my mind right now I am picturing the Thy Art is Murder fan plotting my violent death.
You see the fact is IF you are a musician and you take the time to listen to this album as a WHOLE not one song listen from beginning to end you will see this is a stunning performance and a bass masterpiece!
Is it Metal? NOT EVEN CLOSE but is is UNDENIABLE and whoever is ready to do the title cut of the album on video and sends it in to me I will post it because you will be humbled you crazed Rotting Christ fan. Look for that talent outside of the Liquid XM Spotify playlist there are great musical performances hidden all over the place that can HELP you with your craft even if its Canadians singing parables about ducks trust me on this one kids its worth your time even if it is JUST for the bass playing.
(Though I love the album)
