MIND PATROL INTERVIEW

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.


Back in 2012 our both guitar heroes Yves & Christian started the band & writing some songs. After couple of changes in style and members Emil (Bass) joined in 2013 and Mättu (Drum) in 2014. Since then we started our "varied heavy thrash"-style and started to play gigs regularly.
2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?

The band name was chosen right after the foundation of the band. When you think about the name you can come to your own conclusion what it means. But you may see some clues in our artworks.
3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?


We live all around the heart of Switzerland. Not that much mountains as you may think, but a lot of green grass and beautiful lakes. We have a small, but very loyal metal scene and some awesome underground bands. For example "Gonoreas", "Comaniac", "Final Cut", "Contorsion".
4. How would you describe your style?


We as "Mind Patrol" would say heavy & thrash metal. But some say they hear also some speed metal, some progressive influences and even hardcore elements. So we are very interested, what the people think what style it is.
We do what we like, simple.
5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

We have released our debut album "Against All Predictions" in April 2018. It was produced by V.O. Pulver (Destruction, Pro-Pain, Nervosa...) and holds seven tracks, filled with speed, twists and turns.
6. Do you have any new music in the works?


As we just released our first album, we will not release any more music soon. But we already began writing some new tunes. We'll see when we hit the studio again.


7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?

Next to our regularly gigs in every part of Switzerland we are crossing the border at the moment. We have already fixed concerts in Austria and Croatia and are planning at the moment a tour in the eastern Europe.
8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?

We love to play live and we love to give 100% on stage. So we are really looking for gigs in Switzerland, but also in Europe, and meeting other awesome bands / people  and locations.

10. What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?
"Every song isn't like the others and it has some unexpected turns and twists." We also love to hear, what song you liked the most.
