Sliptrick Records Welcome Heavy Metal Maestros HELLNITE

Sliptrick Records Welcome Heavy Metal Maestros HELLNITE
Joining the ranks at Sliptrick Records this week:

Hellnite (MX) Heavy Metal

Hellnite is a heavy metal project which was founded in Mexico City in 2010 playing local shows and covering songs of some of the most influential bands of the metal scene around the world. As time went by, the band began taking its own shape and sound. Paolo Belmar is the vocalist, composer and guitar player of the band and one of the three founders of the project. In 2013 after playing a bunch of local shows and maintaining the same line-up for three years Hellnite released their first EP, Manipulator, recorded, produced and released independently by the band members.

After the release of Manipulator, the band went through various line-up changes with Paolo always at the core but due to the issues of finding a stable line-up, the groups activity decreased. So at the beginning of 2017, Paolo decided to leave Mexico in order to look for better opportunities in Canada, taking the Hellnite project with him.

Arriving in Canada, Paolo started working with Canadian musicians to keep the project alive, and in 2018, things started to come together with the signing to Sliptrick Records. Finally the new full-length album Midnight Terrors is ready for release early next year and Hellnite hope to create an impact with their music around the world.

Midnight Terrors | Released February 12th, 2019 via Sliptrick Records

Hellnite are:
Paolo Belmar – Guitars/Vocals | Ryan Payne – Drums | Konnor Miskiman – Bass

Ethnor - Q&A

1. Please tell us about the about the band and its members.

Sergey  [Keyboards] :
We have 6 guys in a band. I am in charge of all keyboards and synths and also play on a dumbek. Vladimir here is our golden voice, Taras and Dima are guitar players, Alexander is our bassist. And last but not least is Alexey, our drummer, the guy we are very proud of.

Taras [Solo Guitar] :

We can spend quite a time talking about our early days and all the turmoil we've been through. For me Ethnor is more than just a band, it's a creative process, an idea that spans out through music borders.

Dmitry (Rhythm Guitar) :
I like being in the band because after all these years it feels like we've become a family.

2. Who does the majority of the writing? Is it a group thing or does someone handle the writing duties?

D.: All the songs are written by Vladimir, Taras and Sergey. As for my part in this I mostly spend my time doing nothing and just rehearsing stuff (laughing)

S.: Yes, Taras writes almost everything by himself, I make my arrangements and some teaser, Vladimir composing all lyrics and his vocal parts.

Vladimir (Vocals): Since our music tends to be conceptual I discuss all the lyrics with Taras for historical accuracy. The concept story we've invented with him continues from song to song.

3. Where is the band based out of ?
Where did you want to the band to end up? What was the dream city to have as your home base once you got out of your scene?

D.: We are currently based in Sevastopol, Crimea. It's a great city, I really love it and would like to stay here.

S.: I don't think that changing our base is something necessary. I never thought about really. I heard Los Angeles is great. Or Philly (laughing)

T.: I doesn't matter where we will end up as far as this future home base to be will help us be more organized and make more music happen.

4. What is your genre? What bands do you use to explain  to people what you sound like?

T.: When we first met there was an intention to perform some great Industrial Death Metal, but obviously something went wrong and we went to playing Oriental Progressive Death. When people ask me about the sound I handle them our last EP (laughing)

D. Progressive Death, yes, but some people think otherwise.

V.: Yeah, we even got our page at Metal-Archives.Com deleted because someone decided we are playing Djent. Apparently, he didn't bothered to listen to our music.

S.: I tend to say that we're playing "Nile-meets-Septic Flesh-meets-Tool-meets-Akira Yamaoka-meets-Opeth-meets-Hans-Zimmer-and-so-on" music (laughs).

5. Can we buy anything from you Cd's shirts etc and where can we buy them?

V.: Yeah, we have some stuff available at ethnor.bandcamp.com. Shirts are almost sold out, but CDs are still plenty at hand.

S.: HAARBN Records store also distributes our EP all around the world.

D.: Would you kindly buy our records?

(everyone laughs)

6. Do you have studio time lined up anything new coming soon?

V.: We actually do.

T.: Studio time line up... I am, like, living there for two months straight!

S.: Yeah, we're working full time on something really, really big - it's a full-length album actually. We are also intend to release some classical, I mean classy, surprise before New Year's Eve. No spoilers!

D.: You won't be disappointed, that's for sure!

7. Have you ever been on tour? If so where and with who?

D.: Well, if concerts around the Crimea can be considered a tour than we are touring a lot.

T.: I don't think that can be considered a tour...

V.: We actually supported Neid during Crimean leg of their Russian tour. Italian Grindcore band, really great guys. Also there was a SMUTA band Crimean tour we were supporting.

8. What is your favorite band? Who are the bands who influenced you?

S.: My list is really huge. I mentioned some artists earlier. I can also add Gojira and Sadist. Those are my favourites and the ones that had influence on me as a musician.

D.: Decapited is my favourite band of all time.

V.: Pink Floyd definitely is my number one band. Also a good bunch of Swedish MDM bands like Entombed and Edge of Sanity and almost every Doom Metal band there is.

T.: Fear Factory, Nile, Cynic, Death, Karnivool, Tool, Between the Buried and Me, Meshuggah, Animosity, Akira Yamaoka...

9. Do you have a website? And do I have to verify that I am 18 to enter it?

S.: We don't have a website as for now, but we are present in almost every social network there is: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, you name it.

V.: We are totally SFW. Ethnor avoids any kinds of profanity both in social activity and lyrics, so it's totally safe.

D.: I can say that we are very friendly and open to any kind of conversation.

T.: I wonder what would be if everyone under 18 would be banned from internet...

10. What about your music do you want people to remember? What is the quality you want to hit people when they hit play?

T.: The epic scale. That is the quality I think we are about to hit people with. When our full-length album comes out I want the listener to be amazed not with the music itself but with the complex story it is telling. I wish I could say more, but I won't.

V.: We want to inspire people with our music. Inspire them with notion that good and quality music isn't about genre and heavyness. It's about the message it sends. We mix different stuff and come up with the fusion that is to attract every open-minded person...

S.: ...And the message is 'What the hell is going on down there?!"

D.: Just press Play and you'll get the idea.

11. Name a person who is integral to your band that nobody knows about , what person drives your band like they are part of the band? Who is the extra member ?

D.: Well,a lot of good people were there to help us, I can't name just one person.

V.: I totally agree with that.

S.: Noone was THAT integral, since we do almost everything ourselves.

T.: Hm, Jesus Christ maybe?

(everyone laughs)

12. Tell nerds like me tell us about your live rig and equipment.

V.: I use Neumann KMS 105 mic on stage and at rehearsal.

D.: AMT Distortion Pedal is all I ever need.

T.: Jackson Christian Olde Wolbers 7-string signature guitar, Lundgren M7 pickup, ISP decimator, ISP Fetish booster, Victor Custom Amp "Uadjet".

S.: I am performing with Line 6 and M-Audio Keyboards using Ableton Live Studio. We're also using some native instruments in our performances - I play on dumbek and Taras has armenian duduk.

13. What is your musical guilty pleasure that you are ashamed of?

D.: I can't, it's a secret!

S.: I don't think there is one.

V.: Is this really necessary? Okay, here you go then. I listen to some Pet Shop Boys and Depeche Mode occasionally.

T.: There is nothing to ashamed when you're listen to Tool being totally stoned (laughs).

14.If you could custom build a band who would be the members?

V.: There is no point to build a custom band, since the guys I am sitting with now are some of the best musicians I know.

S.: Totally.

T.: I would have a word or two with some ancient Peru and Egypt flute players.

D.: And I would have a word or two with any musician. It is always interesting to get to know different guys.

15.Message to the fans? What is it?

S.: Stay brutal!

D.: Listen to good music, stop sitting on your ass, stop texting stuff, get out and talk to real people. And also support your local scene and go to concerts!

V.: Follow your dream...

S.: ...To infinity and beyond!

(everyone laughs)

16.If you could bring back one metal legend who would it be?

D.: Egor Letov and Victor Tsoy.

V.: Those guys aren't metal, Dima.

D.: They are for me.

S.: I'd say Chuck Schuldiner.

T.: Johann Sebastian Bach.

17. Who in the band has the stinkiest feet?

S.: I didn't check!

D.: That is probably the best question in whole interview, but I will refrain from answer (laughs)

T.: Why do you ask, I wonder?

18. What is the worst album by your favorite band?

T.: I can't name one and that's good, right?

S.: The thing about favorite band is that it can't be bad in any way.

V.:  Ummagumma by Pink Floyd. Never managed to listen to it throughout, always got too bored somewhere in a middle.

19. How do you think your band will break up?
S.: I don't think it's gonna happen. I never thought about it.
T.: Does it have to do something with smelly feet?
(everyone laughs).

20.Last but not least , Zepplin or The Who?

V.: Zepplin!

D.: Led Zeppelin.

S.: Led Zeppelin.

T.: Black Sabbath!

PARAZIT...... THE INTERVIEW

1. Please tell us about the about the band and its members.

Parazit is an instrumental trio from Guadalajara, Mexico that combines power, subtlety and skill in a balanced form which grabs you from the first notes. Their music comes from the heart: groove and energy that enthrall constant dialogue and textures between guitar, bass and drums.
Kello Gonzalez on bass, Jose Macario on guitar and Christian Gomez on drums.

2. Who does the majority of the writing? Is it a group thing or does someone handle the writing duties?

We explore and approach writing in as many ways as possible. From jamming in the rehearsal room, to getting beats from the drummer and adding music, Jose or Kello writing a complete song or just guitar or bass lines for the rest to complete. We do that mainly to achieve variety in song structures and motifs. When you stick to one way of doing things you inevitably start repeating yourself.

3. Where is the band based out of ? Where did you want to the band to end up? What was the dream city to have as your home base once you got out of your scene?

We're based out of Guadalajara, Mexico. We started here almost 9 years ago. The scene is pretty healthy here, a lot of bands, events, genres and music is produced in the city. Mexico City is close by, as well as some of the big cities in Mexico. In some ways Mexico is still somewhat centralized, but overall Guadalajara is a good city to be based on.

4. What is your genre? What bands do you use to explain  to people what you sound like?

We try not to give a name to our genre, other than Instrumental. Once to label your music you end up filtering styles and sounds that don't fit that label. We want to welcome everything into our music, so we avoid those limitations.

 5. Can we buy anything from you Cd's shirts etc and where can we buy them?

Yes, we have several T-shirt models available as well as all our albums in CD format.
These can be ordered directly with us on our facebook page or bandcamp (parazitmx.bandcamp.com).
All albums are also available on al digital streaming services.

6. Do you have studio time lined up anything new coming soon?

We're actually about to release our 4th album "Aural Coincidence" on November 4th. We're planning a live session in the near future that will be available for download as well.

7. Have you ever been on tour? If so where and with who?

Yes we have. We've toured Mexico extensively over the last 4 years. We did a one month European tour in the summer of 2017 alogn Here Comes The Kraken. We're planning dates to promote our new album for next year, including international dates.

8. What is your favorite band? Who are the bands who influenced you?

Bands we like and have influenced our music: Primus, Dream Theater, Rush, Animals as Leaders, Zeus!, Polysics, Code Orange, among others.

9. Do you have a website? And do I have to verify that I am 18 to enter it?
No need to be 18. Our main page is facebook.com/parazitmx

10. What about your music do you want people to remember? What is the quality you want to hit people when they hit play?

Let the music take you places, find a new sound every time you hit play and create the story and scenery it takes you to in your mind. Enjoy that moment.

11. Name a person who is integral to your band that nobody knows about , what person drives your band like they are part of the band? Who is the extra member ?

Luis Conde, our Tour Manager.

12. Tell nerds like me tell us about your live rig and equipment.

Kello Gonzalez uses the following: Carl Thompson basses, Aguilar Amplification (current rig is an AG700 amp and DB410 cab). Pedalboard: Demeter Compulator, Tech21NY Sansamp BDDI, Tech21NY VTBassDI, Chunk Systems Brown Dog, Mountainking Electronics Megalith, TC Electronics Sub N up, TC Corona, TC Helix, TC Flashback, Morley Dual Bass Wah, WMD Geiger Counter Civilian Issue.

Jose Macario uses Strandberg guitars (6, 9 and 9 string guitars), Marshall JCM900 and 1960 Cab. Pedalboard: KHDK Ghoul Screamer, Dunlop Bass Wah Mini, MXR Reverb, MXR 5150 Overdrive, MXR M80 DI, Vox Trike Fuzz.

Christian Gomez uses 22' kick, 10', 12', 14' and 16' toms. TRX cymbals, Montano drumsticks.

13.What is your musical guilty pleasure that you are ashamed of?

We all love music. Although we call Metal our home, we like most styles of music.

14.If you could custom build a band who would be the members?

Mike Portnoy on Drums, Tosin Abasi on Guitar, Les Claypool con bass, Mike Patton on vocals.

15.Message to the fans? What is it?

Be honest with what you do. Honesty will take you places.

16.If you could bring back one metal legend who would it be?
Cliff Burton.

17. Who in the band has the stinkiest feet?

I can safely say we don't have that problem.

18. What is the worst album by your favorite band?
NO ANSWER

19. How do you think your band will break up?

That will most likely not happen. We don't have a vocalist! ;)

20.Last but not least , Zepplin or The Who?

That is a tough decision to make. I'll have to go for Zeppelin.

BLACKSTAR REPUBLIC GO NUCLEAR

https://youtu.be/8Hg6MTnGOVU
https://www.facebook.com/BlackStar-Republic-219720128213767/

March In Arms interview

1. Please tell us about the about the band and its members.

Sheldon: The band consists of: Ryan Knutson-Vocals/guitar; Jon Parker-Guitar, Phil Mueller-Drums; Scott McGuire-Bass/vocals; and Sheldon Swan-guitar.

2. Who does the majority of the writing? Is it a group thing or does someone handle the writing duties?

Ryan:  The majority of the self-titled album is material that I had been working on years prior with a couple exceptions.  I still write all the lyrics and vocal melodies but the new material is 50/50 myself and Sheldon in the guitar riffs and song structure department.

3. Where is the band based out of? Where did you want the band to end up? What was the dream city to have as your home base once you got out of your scene?

Sheldon: We started in 2012 in Sioux Falls, SD.  I don’t think we’ve ever thought of relocating the band to a different city.

4. What is your genre? What bands do you use to explain to people what you sound like?

Ryan:  We were so heavily influenced by Metallica that there is a strong focus on riffs but epic choruses are a part of every March In Arms song.  It’s like Metallica meets Blind Guardian and Hammerfall.

 5. Can we buy anything from you Cd's shirts etc and where can we buy them?

Sheldon: We are in the process of setting up a website for merchandise sales.  Keep an eye on www.marchinarms.bandcamp.com, maybe a few weeks.

6. Do you have studio time lined up anything new coming soon?

Ryan:  Yes we are in fact heading in to the studio the end of November for the follow up album.  The new songs had to pass the Wacken test.  If we were playing on a stage at a massive outdoor fest the chorus needs to be so huge and catchy that the second time you hear it you would be able to sing along and I am confident we have achieved that goal.

7. Have you ever been on tour? If so where and with who?

Ryan:  Not yet but we won’t rule it out if the right opportunity comes along.

8. What is your favorite band? Who are the bands who influenced you?

Sheldon: Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Nightwish, Sabaton, Powerwolf, Stratavarius, Alice In Chains, Hammerfall, Queensryche, Rammstein, Blind Guardian, the list goes on.

9. Do you have a website? And do I have to verify that I am 18 to enter it?

Ryan:  I don’t care if you’re 5 years old, check it out www.marchinarms.bandcamp.com, you can stream all of our music for free there.  On November 20th we will release the reissue of the self-titled album with bonus live tracks of “Mouth Of The Kracken” and “Firebreather”.

10. What about your music do you want people to remember? What is the quality you want to hit people when they hit play?

Ryan:  Just powerful, epic, moving metal.  I also hope that anyone who has been in combat can relate to the lyrics.  I’m not putting forth an anti-war message and I’m not glorifying war, just the reality of war.  So many of the songs are historically based and I hope people find that cool that these are not just a bunch of random lyrics about really nothing.

11. Name a person who is integral to your band that nobody knows about , what person drives your band like they are part of the band? Who is the extra member ?

Sheldon: Ummm, I don’t think we have such a person.

12. Tell nerds like me tell us about your live rig and equipment.

Sheldon:  Drums-Ludwig, Zildjian, DW, Axis, Vater. Bass-Fender, Ampeg. Guitars-ESP, Jackson, Ibanez, Laney, Peavey, Mesa Boogie, EVH, Marshall.

Ryan:  I will most likely always take the stage with a Jackson V.  Right now I bounce back and forth between a USA Rhoads V and a mid level Rhoads V that is burn your eyes out lime green.  I’m pretty aggressive on stage so it’s a miracle no one has been stabbed yet by either of them!

13.What is your musical guilty pleasure that you are ashamed of?

Sheldon: I don’t really feel guilty about any of the music I like. If I like it, I like it, no matter the genre.

Ryan: I agree, there is nothing that I listen to that I would hide from anyone.

14.If you could custom build a band who would be the members?

Sheldon/Ryan: Steve Harris-Bass, Tuomas Holopainen-Keyboards, James Hetfield-Rhythm guitar, Rob Halford-vocals, Vinnie Paul-drums, Marty Friedman-lead guitar.

15.Message to the fans? What is it?

Ryan:  We will do everything we can to branch out our radius and play more and more shows.  With any luck we will make it overseas eventually!

HE KILL 3 JOINS METAL COFFEE PR

He Kill 3 is a southern-influenced hard rock band based in the mesmerizing Colorado Rocky Mountains. Our music can be described in one word; REAL. The songs come from the heart, and are shot from the hip. We believe music tells a story, we have a lot to say and we tell it like it is! Stories of personal loss, addiction, chasing dreams, relationships, partying...life is full of ups and downs and we don't hide from any of it. Sometimes we like it fast, sometimes slow, sometimes hard, sometimes soft. Everyone has some buried emotions and our goal is to reach deep down and touch those emotions through music. If we can reach even just one lost soul and project a sense of commonality, that they are not alone...

ENIME JOINS METAL PR COFFEE

ENIME (Meaning Within Me) was born in 2014 in Montreal (Qc), Canada.
Stef Forget (guitar) main writer, is influenced mostly by 80s thrash metal and hardcore punk.
In 2014 he began writing a few songs and started searching for a singer.
Later that year he found the singer Graham Henson (Grey).
Grey writes all the lyrics and is mainly influenced by 90s heavy metal and newer metal styles.
After writing 3-4 songs together, they could clearly see that they were creating a new and unique modern “heavy / thrash” metal.
They formed in 2015, after finding their 1st bassist Rob Aisenthal and Eric Mireault, the drummer.
In 2016, they added another guitarist, Phil Forget and the band was complete.

They released their first album DEMON INSIDE independently in the summer of 2016.
The album had great reviews throughout the year.
In 2016-17, ENIME played several shows with numerous local bands in two Canadian provinces.
They released a lyric video “SELLING FEAR“ in the winter of 2017.
They also did a provincial tour in spring/summer 2017 where they could show to their fans how tight and precise a band can be live.

Late 2017, they started writing new material. Unfortunately in spring of 2018, Rob Aisenthal (Bass) left the band.
ENIME started recording their 2nd album BLEEDING OUT (unreleased), in April 2018.
They recorded and mixed the drums with Francis Perron at Radicart Recording Studio, a well-known studio where VOIVOD recorded their last 2018 album “The Wake”,via Century Media Records.
ENIME recorded the vocals, guitars and bass at their personal home studios.
BLEEDING OUT was produced by ENIME, the mixing and mastering was done by Stef Forget.

End of summer 2018, ENIME found their new bassist Pat Légaré.
They are now working on trying to secure a record label deal before releasing their second, 10 songs album BLEEDING OUT.
ENIME are getting ready for touring in 2019.

PARAZIT JOIN METAL COFFEE PR

Parazit is a group originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, whose band members include
Kello González on the bass; Christian Gómez on the drums; and Jose Macario on the guitar.
They awake attention from rock, jazz, fusion, progressive, and noise lovers… which are only a few genres that describe their musical style; however, there is no desire to pigeonhole their
music.

An apparent musical disarray where everything has been meticulously thought out and
orchestrated in each of their pieces. Made up by dissonant sounds and a mix of colours that
result in this instrumental project that plays incessantly with metric, rhythm, key, dynamic,
harmony, and sounds that break the common musical schemes.
There are no rules.

3 MINUTES TO LIVE ALBUM REVIEW

Hailing from the Country Music capital of the world, Metal band 3 Minutes To Live have been riffing in defiance of their surroundings since 2004.  Their most recent effort in aggression comes in the form of their third full-length album, Strike The Shepherd, which was released on May 1st, 2018. Despite a brisk run time of 39 minutes, the 9 tracks offer plenty of opportunities to display just what the underground of Nashville, Tennessee has to say to the rest of the world.

The album wastes no time getting to business. With a fat and dirty riff reminiscent of early Machine Head, guitarists Chris Metker and Jordyn Penner quickly establish the setting in which much of this album will live. As drummer Joe Myers, bassist Abraham Martinez, and vocalist Brian Terry join the fray, one thing becomes immediately clear: the production of this album is beautiful. The drums sound humongous and articulate while remaining organic, The guitars are perfectly saturated with that classic Mesa-Boogie Dual Rectifier approach, the bass, though rarely showcased, creates a massive and even roundness that fills the room, and the vocals sit near perfectly in the middle of it all. The band was sure to pay meticulous attention to each sound that went into this record, and it absolutely shows.

Though the sound quality is stunning, listening to this album as a whole definitely brings on a prominent feeling of early 2000's Metal déjà vu. Whether it's a deliberate homage to that era or not, the song writing often fails to bring anything new to the table where their idols sit. Much of Strike The Shepherd feels like a riff-Frankenstein's Monster made of Trivium, Resolution-era Lamb of God, Shadows Fall, and even Breaking Benjamin. There are definitely moments where the band implements some interesting atmospheric ideas, however. The violin/string arrangements lightly layered under clips of various news broadcasts in the intro of "Pigs" is a prime example. Though the news clip idea might to fall under that déjà vu category by itself, the strings are layered into the mix with such tact and subtlety that it ends up making for a very cool, theatric moment. The terribly ominous, curiously powerful intro riff to "UnRaveling" is another great example of their ventures into atmosphere.  It's such a different feeling from the rest of the album that it entirely changes the color of the room when it hits.

Use of Guitar harmonies that often weave their way in and out of more aggressive, pummeling grooves make for a very nice sense of motion. Additionally, the variety and range of vocal techniques by Brian Terry implemented on nearly every song very efficiently takes you from the depths of one musical setting, and immediately plunges you into the belly of another. 3 Minutes To Live definitely know how to control the flow of energy, taking each song from its origin to its destination with confidence. Oh, and speaking of confidence, the band absolutely oozes with it each time they lay into a meaty groove. They're not mind boggling, Tosin Abasi-born chugs, but rather a straight ahead, crushing wallop, like being run over by a hijacked tank. The ruthless, rolling double kick of Joe Myers is undoubtedly the gas pedal that makes that tank roll.

Overall, this album lays down loads of mean muggin' Metal chuggin. There isn't a single moment where the musicians don't feel completely in control of the whole show, and again, WOW this production quality is fantastic. Radio ready is an understatement.  That being said, the fact that these musicians feel so obviously talented and capable is part of what makes this album a little underwhelming as a whole. They begin their title track with a very cool riff in 7/4 time (for the non-musicians reading this: that's something one would expect out of Rush/Neil Peart), and though that's a killer moment, they never dabble with that type of idea again. Everything just feels very safe, and that's a shame because the band proved in small doses that they're more than capable of creating some interesting and compelling work. If they would commit to that a little further, they may have had more success at stepping out of the shadows of their influences. Due to this fact, Strike the Shepherd struggles to keep the listener's full attention for a start to finish listen despite, its absolutely professional approach.

Formed back in 2014 by original members Scott Austin (vocals), Mark Innocent (lead guitar) and Drew Reilly (rhythm guitar), they set about creating the foundations of what would become the upcoming album release entitled Rise. In 2017, Carl Sheldrick joined the band on drums and soon after Jake Coles joined on bass guitar to complete the line up and make Reaper-X a reality.

The completed group released their first single in 2017 entitled Fury In Flames online and as a physical copy which also included the bonus track entitled Reaper. The tracks laid the template for the Reaper-X sound consisting of fast riffs, melodic solos, and balls to the walls metal. With this the band had shown people what they were made of and planted the seed for what was to come. At the beginning of 2018, they went into Initiate Audio and Media to record what would be their best work to date. With Neil Hudson at the helm, they recorded a full album expressing a number of different styles of metal from hardcore to thrash and even a ballad to show how diverse they can be. The album Rise will be released worldwide via Sliptrick Records in 2019.

Sean Nations-VOX which is me
I have been in quite a few bands like Killswitch Incorporated, The Klling Inside & Alienation. I have also been in some bands with touring musicians like Curt Victor Bryant (Celtic Frost), Roman Surman
(Murderdolls & Wednesday 13), Jason West (Wednesday 13, Murderdolls, Murder F.M., Sebastian Bach, Pitbull Daycare & Neurotica) and Donnie Van Stavern (Riot, Riot V, & Pitbull Daycare) Mark Reyes-Drums & Anthony Aleman -Bass are both veterans of many local bands who have played in Texas. Anthony Carrillo-Lead Guitar  has been in quite a few local bands.Joey Villalobos-Lead Guitar has worked in a few local bands as well as signed band Riot V.

2. Who does the majority of the writing? Is it a group thing or does someone handle the writing duties?

We all do. Different members have different styles and contributions.

3. Where is the band based out of ? Where did you want to the band to end up? What was the dream city to have as your home base once you got out of your scene?

Based in San Antonio, TX and we plan to promote and build out of San Antonio.

4. What is your genre?
What bands do you use to explain  to people what you sound like

Metal and Rock. The music a lot of the times is technical and brutal. I would say Pantera meets Iron Maiden.

 5. Can we buy anything from you Cd's shirts etc and where can we buy them?

New CD will be coming out shortly which is a full album. We have few downloads available on Reverbnation until the CD comes out. We have quit a bit of merch which will be available soon online through Facebook and at evenindeath.net plus we will be adding stores that carry our stuff. When the album is done we are going to put it available to download across many platforms.

6. Do you have studio time lined up anything new coming soon?

Our album is almost finished being mixed and mastered. After it comes out we plan to hit the studio for more songs to follow up plus a few cool collaborations with some well known names.

7. Have you ever been on tour? If so where and with who?

I have toured previously with my other bands Killswitch Incorporated and The Killing Inside. I don't think the other band members have toured.

8. What is your favorite band? Who are the bands who influenced you?

My favorites are Faith No More, American Head Charge, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Coal Chamber, Judas Priest, Dope, Static-X, Overkill, Anthrax and quite a few more. I think they all inspire me.

9. Do you have a website? And do I have to verify that I am 18 to enter it?
Yes. Evenindeath.net which has no age restrictions.

10. What about your music do you want people to remember? What is the quality you want to hit people when they hit play?

We try to write songs that are catchy, heavy, and distinctly our. We are not trying to sound like anybody else. The majority of the time are songs carry a positive message in there. Sometimes it is a little darker and more personal. I strongly believe that somebody that has never seen us like gets something from our songs stuck in their head. I also write to motivate and validate feelings they have.

11. Name a person who is integral to your band that nobody knows about , what person drives your band like they are part of the band? Who is the extra member ?

All the guys stand out which is why both guitarists are lead guitarists.

12. Tell nerds like me tell us about your live rig and equipment.

We try to get a top of the line sound. Our shows bring more to the table than just songs. We raise the bar with additional lighting which does include high power lasers. Our next step is building the look of the stages. We have stand up banners but we like to add more than that. We you see us live we want you to get more than just our songs.

13.What is your musical guilty pleasure that you are ashamed of?

None. I listen to Kesha, N.W.A., Elle King, Dead Or Alive, Nathaniel Rateliff and a lot of metal bands that you would probably expect.

14.If you could custom build a band who would be the members?

Mine. I do have a couple other projects with well known touring musicians but I can't let the cats out of the bags.

15.Message to the fans? What is it?

We hope that are music is able to be related by our fans whether your are pissed, sad, happy lost, confused and all the other daily BS.

16.If you could bring back one metal legend who would it be?

Dimebag or Randy Rhodes

17. Who in the band has the stinkiest feet?

Everyone baths pretty well.

18. What is the worst album by your favorite band?

Wayne Static's solo album. It's just not Static-X.

19. How do you think your band will break up?

I suppose as bands members grow, especially when we tour, things could change.

20.Last but not least , Zepplin or The Who

Neither..... Queen.
