Low Spirits, hailing from Little Rock, Arkansas, set out to stand out amongst a scene predominately centered around doom and stoner metal, while maintaining semblance of the area's ambiance and culture. Combining elements of hardcore, crust, death, and black metal with some down tempo/doomy arrangements.
The band focuses on being an amalgam and avoids being easily placed into single genres. The band's members have been friends for over a decade and have played in previous projects with each other. That history and rapport make for a solid sense of camaraderie between the members. That, coupled with a DIY and hard-working mentality makes Low Spirits a band worth keeping up with.
