THE AMACK ATTACK : BELOW 7 REVIEW

Today I'm reviewing "Crashing Down" an album from a Virginia/Tennessee band called BELOW 7.

featuring:
Jarrod- vocals
Lance- bass
Todd- guitar
Eric- drums
Scotty- rhythm

Record Label-
Pavement Entertainment

One of the things I noticed right away was how each part of the band accentuates the other..
Not one part is overpowering the other.. there's just such a good blend.
They utilize silence very well in the pauses, which is hard to do.
From thumping bass lines, great riffs, and solid drumming which blends the vocals in very well.
They're tuning is in drop c which provides that low end.
Just a solid rock band that absolutely rocks live.
They reminded me of Godsmack, Avenged Sevenfold, and a little hint of Motley Crue.

Let's get started with the review.

Church of Prophecy:
The intro explodes into the song.
Good subject material.
I enjoyed the lyrics, it's a subject I'm very familiar with.
A great break down, with exceptional down picking.
Good riff structure.

Down:
Good verse riff.
Steady vocal Melody.
Mixes sound and silence well.
Baseline breakdown into a great buildup, Peaking with vocals, back into a sledgehammer.
The outro is the same as the intro which brings the song into a full circle.

Freight Train Coming:
Awesome opening riff.
Good vocal subject.
Smashing riffs.
Great groove featuring exceptional guitar leads.
Crushing breakdowns.
Guitar simulate freight train whistle which I thought was really cool.

Fu&ym2:
Straight forward Rock sound.
I thought that's what Fu&ym2 stood for 😆
I enjoyed the chorus.
Most likely a crowd favorite.

It Follows:
Good opening.
Bass lines thump under some great guitar work.
Awesome lyrics.
Good bass breakdown before a good solo.
The song just harmonizes well.
I liked the high pitched squeal they just let roll for a bit.
Good lead guitar work.

Millennial:
Crushing bass lines.
Really good groove it just flows well.
Great timing.
Just a really good rock song all together.
Backing vocals match well.
Great accentuating solo.

Miss Misery:
Opens well.
Chugs through the verses.
Good subject material with the vocals.
Great song structure.
Impressive leads.

Scream:
Great opening riff for an up-tempo groove.
Vocals come in and the whole band comes together.
Crushing chorus.
Awesome chugs into verse 2.
Good picking technique.
Provides a steady groove through the whole song.
Great ending riff.
Was my personal favorite on this album.

Whiskey Baby:
Great opening, the guys blend well with higher notes and lower tunings.
Great vocal Melody.
Such good timing blending the silent parts into the song.
Awesome solo.
Solid ending as they just stopped suddenly, which I'm a big fan of.
