NEW ALBUM INTERVIEW!WELCOME HOME! CARCINOGEN DAILY RETURNS TO METAL COFFEE

Carcinogen Daily was born out of the rich culture of music in Tulsa, OK.
Whether it be the grimy basement punk show, or the deep channels of traditional music found down on Main St.
There's a little bit of it all in the roots that Carcinogen Daily grew up from.
We had experience playing in bands together in the past so we were already tuned into each other's frequency.
As songwriters we can see the parallels between music today and music from eras long past.
We feel satisfaction if we can channel those universal musical constants into our performance.
Music is timeless.
Harpo Barx - Vocals
Josh Malone - Bass

Ben Knievel - Drums
Stephen Bisbee - Guitars
.Thanks for taking the time to talk to The Grinder! You have a new album out, Tell us about it!

We have a new EP Titled "Legba" coming out February 20th 2020

2.Where was it recorded? Is all the material new?

This was all recorded and mixed in my (Ben Knievel) home studio. Then we sent it out to Will Sterling for mastering. These are all previously unrecorded songs.

3.What is the biggest difference between your last release and the new one?

Bigger Better production. More focused. The last EP we did was scattered across a few different studios and recording environments. This time we were able to relax and get down to business at one location, and I think you can really hear the difference.

4.Are you signed to a label? , If so which one and how did they help or support the process?

 We are currently unsigned.

5.What has been going on with the band between albums? Did you tour?

We played out a lot and took time to experiment and write.

6.Do you have any new members?

 NOPE! all the same guys:)

7.Who produced the new album and how did they effect the album?

We produced it ourselves and did a splendid job if I do say so myself lol.

8.Some like to record naked or in the dark with candles , Did you have any strange studio practices?

Each song we changed mics and positions on the drums, bass, and guitars to give each song a different feel. We also used some odd instruments like jugs and homemade shakers this time around.

9.Of course tell us where to pick up your album and how to learn more about you.

Legba will be available at all the usual suspects. Swing by our FB and Instagram to stay up to date with us.

10.What is your plans now that the new album is out?

Write and Record! 2020 is a year for new music.
