The Barcode Bandits is a young alternative rock band based in South Africa, Gauteng region. The band formed in July 2012 and has found themselves exceptionally quickly. The Barcode Bandits Released their second EP last year, “I Don’t Want you to…” which saw them rocking many radio stations on South Africa and overseas, where they charted in the top 10 spots all round. The three-piece band provides powerful rock that explodes out of each and every song they perform. Music has been the best medium for them to express their views and feelings on the world’s issues. They rocked many stages with some of SA’s top acts like, Franchois Van Coke en die Gevaar,
Jack Parow, Jeremy Loops, Shortstraw, Wonderboom, Jasper Dan, The Black Cat Bones and International US touring artist, Brett Newski. Each member brings a lot of experience from past projects and they are very familiar with the SA music scene. The band draws inspiration from super acts like Sum 41, Greenday, Tool, Chevelle, System of a Down, ACDC, Metallica and Rage Against the Machine Their stage presence is infectious and their great sense of humour seeps through, both on stage and off stage. Audiences are always guaranteed a fun show as this band is truly living Rock and Roll and loving it. With whisky on their breath and music in their hearts, this band is ready to take over the music scene.
