BATTERY SERIES INTERVIEW : Tor Connaughton / Victory Season












1.What is your name and what band do you play for?

Tor Connaughton and I play for Victory Season and freelance.


2.Who made you want to play drums and why?


Locally Brian Tonne from Black Earth—-I heard him
From womb and on.


3.When did you get your first kit? Tell us about it…


first kit was Dec 24, 2012 Ddrum DD1 for Christmas time.  But there was always drums around. 


4.Where your parents supportive of you and your loud / expensive new habit?



absolutely— mother is a music lover and father is a recording artist as a bass player.  A grandmother who was a drummer and a grandfather who was a recording artist as well and guitarist.  It was only natural.

5.What drum performance on an album is perfection to you?


Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan self titled Avenged Sevenfold 


6.Tell us about your current kit and set up in DETAIL.


currently using my endorser, ddrum domination custom kick is 22x 20 and first Tom is 12 x 20 and floor Tom is 14 x 14 and snare is 5.5 x 13  currently using assorted Soultone cymbals as a recent endorsee.


7.If you could have a dream kit tell us about it in DETAIL


dream kit: ddrum MAX Series.  The ddrum custom shop is amazing.

9. Do you prefer Live or Studio?


live or studio?


 

Love playing live,a whole other world.  But the studio is where the magic is created.  Hard to choose love both sides! 


10.Do drummers really get all the chicks and if so how do we convince the guitarist?  we get chicks??
