EPIC DEATH INTERVIEW

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Epic Death started back in 2010 after Dennis and I returned to Texas from Washington state.  The band has been through a few member changes in the last 8 years.  Our current line up is the strongest lineup we have ever had.  Each member is the best at what they do.  Personally I'm the greenest musician in the band.  Everyone else has been playing music since they were about 9.  I started playing keyboards just a little over 8 years ago.  I learn a lot from my band mates, they are all amazing musicians!

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
Late one night in 2010 Dennis and I were sitting around discussing what to name the band.  Dennis made the statement that Death had the ultimate name.  I thought about it for a moment and then said well why not call ourselves "Epic Death".  At that moment that became the band name and I stayed up until 4am creating our very first graphic.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend? We hail from Houston, TX.  As many places the music scene is booming but because there are so many venues and they aren't close together so it makes it hard to get to multiple shows in one night if you are trying to see as many friends/bands as you can.
There are so many bands in Houston.  Desecrate the Faith, Drotten, Bag of Tricks, Dawn of Dissolution just to name a few that we enjoy seeing and call family!

4. How would you describe your style?
We consider ourselves a Metal band.  Many call us symphonic death metal, black metal, symphonic thrash and we appreciate what we sound like to others; however, we just see ourselves as metal through and through.

5. What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?
We released Witchcraft in December 2015.  When it comes to our music someone can expect face melting riffs, strong drums, thumping bass and melodic keyboards.  The vocals range from clean to growl and many say that Dennis' growling vocals are amazing because you can understand every word he says.

6. Do you have any new music in the works?
We have started writing another full length and are looking to release in 2019.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
We currently play regionally and are starting to book outside of Texas.  By next year we are hoping to be in Europe.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?
The same plans as every band, we hope to become a household name to those who love metal.

9. Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
We have found the more places your music can be found the better.  Here are a few places to find Epic Death streaming as well as for purchase.
