Laura:

What genre of music do you consider Devil In The Mist to be?

Devil In The Mist:

Alternative metal but with mixes of goth, symphonic, grunge, shred guitar, punk, 80s, 70s, acoustic, pop, countryish, all mixed in. We haven’t released a lot of music as of yet.

Laura:

What's the ultimate direction for your band?

Devil In The Mist:

We just try and create our own thing, style and sound which we have done. Our main direction is get to a bigger audience to get signed. Which at the writing of this interview we jsut did with Sliptrick Records!

Laura:

How would you describe your music making process?

Devil In The Mist:

I (Gia) come up with the music and composing. Then Katy works on the lyrics and sometimes we change the song for the lyrics. We do that together usually and we work really well together. A lot of times most of the best ideas come up when I’m just mesing aorund in my studio.

Laura:

Why call the band, “Devil In The Mist?”

Devil In The Mist:

Katy actually came up with the name. Something to do with a flower. Nothing to do with the devil or satanic things.

Laura:

What should fans expect to experience at a show?

Devil In The Mist:

Well, if the venue is good and has good sound and sound guy, that means everything for a show. If that’s is not in place, the show will not be good for either the fans or the band.

They will expercience us performing with energy and playing the songs as good or better than the CD. Expect a lot improv.

Laura:

Typical question here. Who has influenced you the most via music?

Devil In The Mist:

Ah that’s really tough! There’s so many that I have, the list would be huge!

Laura:

A lot! First a new single and music video with Sliptrick Records. Next up will be a full length, 10 to 12 song CD/DVD with Sliptrick Records also.
