BATTERY DRUMMER INTERVIEW : Necrovecula 666 (Arnold Garza), Unholy Desecration


1.What is your name and what band do you play for?
Necrovecula 666 (Arnold Garza), Unholy Desecration 
  

2.Who made you want to play drums and why?

My uncle when I was a kid. Majority of my family are musicians & I just followed the mold.

3.When did you get your first kit? Tell us about it…

When I was 16. It's a '92 Tama Rockstar Deluxe which I still use to this day. For U.D. I play a Pearl Export series which is owned by our guitarist Rob.

4.Were your parents supportive of you and your loud / expensive new habit?

Yes my parents are very supportive to this day.

5.What drum performance on an album is perfection to you?
  

La Villa Strangiato by Rush on their Hemispheres album

6.Tell us about your current kit and set up in DETAIL.

Tama Rocstar Deluxe, (2) 22×16 kicks, Ludwig Rockers 14x6 snare, 12×13, 13×14 rack toms, 16×16 floor tom. All Tama hardware including Iron Cobra kick pedals. Zildjian cymbals 20' ride, 14' hats, (2) 18' rock crashes, & (2) 18' chinas. Electronics include DDrum triggers for kick drums w/Alesis DM 5 module.

7. If you could have a dream kit tell us about it in DETAIL

My dream kit would consist of the same setup & brand w/hardshell road cases for travel.

9. Do you prefer Live or Studio?

I enjoy both studio & playing live equally 

10. Do drummers really get all the chicks and if so how do we convince the guitarist?

Drummers get the sloppy seconds from singer's & guitarist's chicks. Well at least me unfortunately.
