AXEWOMAN GUITAR INTERVIEW : GIA G / Infinite Sin

1.Tell us your name and the band you play for


Im  the  Lead Guitarist for the band  Infinite Sin .  I also  have  my own band  Devil In The Mist , and solo  Instrumental project  GIA G 


2.Who made you want to pick up the guitar

Eddie Van Halen  mostly  .   Jimmy Page,    Jimi Hendrix  , Jeff Beck, Randy Rhoads


3.Are you self taught or did you take lessons?

.I took lessons  for  3 1/2 yrs with Joe Stump,  then  the started doing my own  learning and creating  my own sound style 


4. Can you read music, Can you read tab?

Yes i learned to read music first,  then learned tab,   I mostly just use tab know 


5.Do you feel like you have your own sound / tone ?

Yes  i think i do , and  im always  keep experimenting 


6.Tell us about your guitar ( brand ,model . year , color )

Ah ,  well i have 21  of them  lol,    Im Endorsed with Viper Guitars , i have 2 signature  models,  7  string and 6 .    I have 4 Custom shop  Jackson guitars ,  2 from the 1980s , 86 and 87,   2015  Custom shop 7 string  Jackson ,   and just purchased   a 2005  Custom  shop Jackson .  I have 2 Custom shop Fender stratocasters ,  2015   and 2005  hot rod one .  Have 3 Kramer Guitars , 2 from the 1980s  86 and 87  Pacers and one form 2003 , Kramer.  2 Schecter guitars,  8 string 2011 ,  7 string 2004 ,   ESP 7 string guitar 2001 .    BC RICH  dont know what year eactly lol ,    2 Classical guitars , Takemine ,   2 acoustic guitars,  Ibanez and  Dean .    2 Bass Guitars  , Fender and Ibanez 



7.What about pickups? Passive or active ? Tell us about them


Passive pick ups,   Seymour Duncans  are my favorite,  Im also  Endorsed  with them , my Biggest Endorsement  so far 


8.Lets get into amplification, Same drill brand , model , speakers etc


 Im Endorsed with  2 amplifier  companies ,   Revv amplifier ,  i have a 40 watt one  , adn ZT Amplifier , there more for small amps ,  i have one use , you can take it anywhere , little cube amp.    I have 4 Marshall  amplifiers,   3 JCM 800s    2 from the 1980s , one is a remake ,  in the early 2000s . I have  a 2010  JVM Marshall amp.   1998  5150 II   Peavey  amplifier .   Cabs ,  i have a  custom Avatar bottom cab.  A Marshall  top cab ,  900.   a Peavey cab bottom , that came from  a VTM   120 Head I used to have,  and an  Ampeg top cab,   basically a copy of a Marshall cab. 



9.Do you have a pedal board? Tell us about that badboy


 I have a pedal board , but i keep it basic for live ,  just using it for the power continer to plub into my amp,  i jsut use the distortion of the amps,   sometimes reverb either from amp or pedal,     Basically i experiment    like reverb ,  delay,   ,  or   chorus , reverb,  or reverb , flanger,   or like the last show i  did, reverb,  chorus and flanger , which was interesting  , 



10..Now tell us your Dream Rig in detail…..


 Dream rig lol  , hahaah,  Well , that i can play and have great rytum sound,  lead sound , clean sound, adn an experimetal sound with variuos difirent sounds 



11.What guitarist can you not stand?


Ha hahaah,   do i  have to acrtually say names here lol,  might come back to bite me lol,    Lets put it this way , ones that to into themselves and are naracistic  attitude lol 


12. Is tone more important or is technique?


To be honest  Tone is , if you dont have good tone ,  your done , you will sound like crap ,  and will ruin your technique  





13. Name your top 5 guitarist


1- Eddie Van Halen ,   2 Jeff Beck,   3 Jimmy Page ,4  Randy Rhoads    5 (Kirk Hament /  Joe Satriani )   6 Yngwie Malmsteen 



14.Who is the most overrated guitarist


  Hahaha,   There are many  lol  



15.Who would you like a one hour private sit down lessons with anyone dead or alive?


Lesson  , hmmm,  im not sure it would  be lessons , but  with everyone  that plays an isntrument , you always learn something from somebody,  dosent matter the level,  . Music is a form of self expression,  so  say  some one famous , i would get to jam with, would l look at how i do things and vice versa, and some one thats not  known or good you pick up  things from .  But i would love to jam with Eddie Van Halen    some day, or  any of those people i mentioned on the top 5
