BIG UGLY TALK THIER NEWEST...

1.Thanks for taking the time to talk to The Grinder! You have a new album out, Tell us about it!

Our latest release is called Forgotten

2.Where was it recorded? Is all the material new?

It was recorded at Custom Audio Mutation. Mixed and Mastered by Curran Murphy (Formerly of Nevermore and Annihilator) and all but Come Home is new material.

3.What is the biggest difference between your last release and the new one?

We grew as songwriters and as musicians. This album has a very dark feel to it. Where the last album was kinda lighthearted. This new record really dives into the feeling of being abandoned. Both our singer Tony and I went through a divorce during the recording of this record. So theres a lot of hate filled lyrics lol. Overall this record is heavier and just sounds angry.

4.Are you signed to a label? , If so which one and how did they help or support the process?

We are on Misanthropik records and they helped promote the shit out of it. They also pressed all physical copies and handled putting it on all streaming sites and different stations around the world.

5.What has been going on with the band between albums? Did you tour?

We went through not one but 2 lineup changes between the first and this record. So there was no tourning. Touring cost money. We have no money lol

6.Do you have any new members?

Yes and no. Our singer Tony stepped down to handle personal stuff and we had a guy named Freak in the band for about a year or so. Our bassist Sean stepped away also. So we had a guy named Brent in the band for about a year. Things just were not working. So we fired Brent right before we opened for Jinjer, which was kind of a dick move but he had been warned to get his shit together many times.  Well, we ended up being Sean back. Speaking of getting thier shit together, we had to let go of Freak for the same reason. It just so happened that Tony was available and he came back and re recorded the vocals for the new record. So we are back to our original line up. Its confusing. I know.

7.Who produced the new album and how did they effect the album?

Curran Murphy. Curran pushed us to be better players and really challenged us to not settle. The guy is a pro, but he knows how to get the best out of you.

8.Some like to record naked or in the dark with candles , Did you have any strange studio practices? No, just eating pizza on the play backs.

9.Of course tell us where to pick up your album and how to learn more about you.

It is available on all streaming sites, YouTube, through Misanthropik records and at any show.

10.What is your plans now that the new album is out?

To just keep doing what we're doing. We have no delusions. We're older guys who know our time is almost done.done. At least musically. But we know that as long as there are fans were gonna keep playing shows and putting out records.
