Some good sounds are coming from southern Wisconsin as I am listening to Disappearance. The grindy, tech-death battering filtered through a hardcore, djent-infected lens, and embellished with surreal brutal vocals, highlights the track “Montana". “Self-Righteous" chugs and lurches with chunky, technical riffs and malfunctioning rhythms, while unleashing a delightfully infectious central vocal hook. It’s hardly groundbreaking stuff, but the fusion of prog, metalcore, and djent, coupled with tight musicianship, lends the band identity and is rather well executed to a certain degree. Diversity is the key and Disappearance weaves a more thrashy and aggressive route that pays dividends. They ramp-up the aggression and compact their songwriting into tighter balls of fury and dynamism. When you fuse various aspects of different metal genres you're bound to sit at the head of the creativity table. Excellent energy and a compelling listen.
