Recorded, mixed and mastered by Marcos Cerutti, Beyond The Putrid Fiction is an 11-track display of deadly precision concocted grimly enough to drag anyone into a realm of absolute darkness and aversion. The album's infernal cover art was designed by Mark Cooper (Malevolent Creation, Alterbeast).
Originating from the Brazilian shores of Santo André and São Paulo, DEPRESSED formed in 1998 and received decent underground recognition in their home country before going on hiatus around the turn of the century. Reformed in 2012, the South American deathmongers released their debut album Afterlife in Darkness in 2015 via Black Lion Records and have steadily worked on a follow-up in the years since.
Beyond The Putrid Fiction is the perfect album to introduce to a North American audience as each track delves deep within the catacombs to provide 40+ minutes of sinister monoliths and spiraling works of madness, all while unmercifully spewing bile straight from the pits from hell.
