1.Thanks for taking the time to talk to The Grinder! You have a new album out, Tell us about it!
Set on Rising EP we released in June of 2019. This is out testament to letting go of the past and moving forward with now expectations. This EP everything just clicked and nothing was forced into place. We set out to make music that we felt connected to and not to conform into anyone else’s mold. We feel good about Set on Rising, even though we all have our different favorite track, it just wouldn’t have worked without any one track being in place.
2.Where was it recorded? Is all the material new?
Awe recorded at after the Bridge Studio, in our hometown. Every track was new material. Some where demos bright in by a member others where a one off that just happened at practice. When Wolves Bleed was a last minute addition that nearly didn’t make the EP.
3.What is the biggest difference between your last release and the new one?
We found us. If that makes any sense. The first album we where using half old material and some new, but we where still building chemistry. Letting Go was the First track written for the EP, and that is when it just clicked.
4.Are you signed to a label? , If so which one and how did they help or support the process?
No
5.What has been going on with the band between albums? Did you tour?
No tour. Like we said we where still building chemistry. So we did the local shows while working on us. We love our scene, and after this next EP we will be looking to travel regionally.
6.Do you have any new members?
No. We are exactly where we are supposed to be. Excited to see where this goes.
7.Who produced the new album and how did they effect the album?
Our guitarist Chad McElwee produced the EP. Being that connected we where able to get the end result we where looking for.
8.Some like to record naked or in the dark with candles , Did you have any strange studio practices?
Nothing to strange. Just tons of pizza, tea, and Energy drinks.
9.Of course tell us where to pick up your album and how to learn more about you.
To get a physical copy you’ll have to come to a skyshow, other wise any where music is streamed we are there. Spotify, iTunes, google play, and amazon music are just a few.
