Grinder New Album Interview Reign of Terror

1.Thanks for taking the time to talk to The Grinder! You have a new album out, Tell us about it!
Well ours isn't out just yet we're still putting the final touches on it, Guitars / drums / and vocals are finished, so just some bass guitar bits that should be done in week or so and then off to get mastered! While thats going on i'll pull out the paint brushes and start up on some cover art

2.Where was it recorded? Is all the material new?
It was recorded by JJ from the Eschatonic Records they've picked up a few bands here in Canberra Australia, all us evil with some wicked tunes in our own way. We play an old school mixture of thrash and death we like to call ”Beer Metal” . Its a blend of hard rock / venom / slayer / decide / priest and heaps of classic metal bands all fermented nicely into the package you see infront of you!

3.What is the biggest difference between your last release and the new one?
Basically its been a few years and im the only one left from that lineup so considering that not a lot has changed. Hopefully we're getting better at what we do, but I don't think this release with either upset anyone that liked us before or endear us with anyone that hated us before. From a production point of view its a little more advanced and we've taken a little more time than the last recording. Also with Mike on the bass guitar I've actually got another song writer on board, which hasn't happened since the ninties.

4.Are you signed to a label? , If so which one and how did they help or support the process?
We're sorting that out now. Its looking good that we may have a few people helping us out. Basically Eschatonic records has been awesome to us so we'll defs be working with them and hopefully in conjunction with a few other cool cats both here and overseas

5.What has been going on with the band between albums? Did you tour?
Yeah we don't tour as such, we do play gigs when we get them both locally and up the east coast of Australia. Its bloody expensive to tour here but if we just duck out for the weekened we can still keep our day jobs ya know what I mean?

6.Do you have any new members?
Yeah both the drummer (Danny) and Bass player (Mike) are new and they've definitley added their own stamp and style to the band! Love those c**ts!

7.Who produced the new album and how did they effect the album?
As mentioned Above JJ from the Eshcatonic Record label did it and I think he did a marvellous job, he knows his gear and more importantly knows how to pull a good sound out of us. He has great concentration skillz which made sure we played our best on all the takes.

8.Some like to record naked or in the dark with candles , Did you have any strange studio
practices?
There was an inhuman amount of beer and burbon consumed during the recording of this one.... some days we can't even remember what happened hahah but other than just the usual hahahh
9.Of course tell us where to pick up your album and how to learn more about you.
Easiest way will be to visit our website (http://www.beermetal.com) or facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/reignofterrorbeermetal) and we can sort you out from there. We're hoping for a feb release or sometime around then!

10.What is your plans now that the new album is out?
Basically promote the shit out of it and hopefully go ona more extensive tour of Australia than we have been able to in the past!
