New Album Interview : Vibrahaven

1.Thanks for taking the time to talk to The Grinder! You have a new album out, Tell us about it!

We have a new album out called Heartened By Toxinz. It is mostly a rock/metal record. It contains alot of influences from our favorite rock bands like Alice In Chains, Korn, Trivium, Breaking Benjamin and many others.

2.Where was it recorded? Is all the material new?

We recorded our album at The Birds Nest recordings located in San Antonio. Almost all the songs are new except for Crosses & Xs. That song is one of our older ones but re-recorded.
3.What is the biggest difference between your last release and the new one?

The biggest difference from this release is this time we have a new member in this album Tommy Toxinz! He plays keys, guitar and vocals on this record. Tommy replaced Jeremy who was in our first EP just titled (Vibrahaven). Where Jeremy just played guitar, Tommy brings a whole new sound and dynamic to the album. We experimented alot more with Tommy's keys for this record on certain songs like Not My Problem, Gone, Nuclear Kings, Akuma No Kira (Demon Killer) Acid Rain and the intro for Crosses & Xs.

4.Are you signed to a label? , If so which one and how did they help or support the process?

We currently not signed to a label but we are interested in future opportunities.

5.What has been going on with the band between albums? Did you tour?

We worked on new songs between our EP and our new full length album. It was a long process especially because our original member left the band after we recorded our first EP. We have played lived several times locally in the RGV in south Texas. We also recently played a Cancer Benefit show at Yeberia in McAllen Texas.

6.Do you have any new members?

Tommy is our latest member of the band. He also has a solo project under the name Tommy Toxinz. He is a very talented musician in his own right.

7.Who produced the new album and how did they effect the album?
Sammy Gonzalez mixed and produced our new album at The Birds Nest Recordings. He is also in a band from San Antonio called Don't Feed The Birds.

8.Some like to record naked or in the dark with candles , Did you have any strange studio practices?

We just ate alot of munchies during recording. Especially Hot Funyuns to get a raspy tone for Ryan's vocals for certain songs. Nothing extreme haha!

9.Of course tell us where to pick up your album and how to learn more about you.

Our music is available for purchase and streaming on Spotify, iTunes, Amazon, Iheartradio and many other digital platforms. You can also purchase a physical copy of our album on our official website vibrahaven.com. You can also follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram!
