The album will contain a modern hybrid of thrash and death metal, alternated with some progressive passages and without losing the old school thrash feel. The listener can prepare himself for an album chock-full of dazzling guitar solos, melancholic lead parts and killer tight drums!
Amsterdam, The Netherlands, August 22, 2018 - Degenerate is pleased to announce the worldwide release of its debut Album.
Degenerate is a metal band formed by Dutch songwriter, musician, producer Rens H. The band was put together by Rens H. with a vision to unleash a modern thrash/death metal hybrid. The unique combination of challenging guitar riffs and technical drumming creates a sound of yesteryear and will bring back memories of 80’s style thrash metal, without excluding modern metal heads. The music of Degenerate contains well-crafted songs that take the listener on a trip down memory lane. Degenerate will appeal to fans of Max Cavalera-era Sepultura, Children Of Bodom, Unearth and Testament.
After the release of the bands first demo in 2016 the name Degenerate has grown fast in the dutch metal scene and became known for their energetic live performances and great songwriting. Fans often say it reminds them of the good old 80’s/90’s metal music with the right amount of more modern influences. Not only fans where positive by the 2016 release, also the international media publishes some decent writeup’s about the bands release.
