DEAF FOREVER JOINS METAL COFFEE!! AND INTERVIEW

Deaf Forever are an Alternative Noise band from the North East of England. They combine a variety of styles of music that make there own unique individual sound. After recording there debut EP "so you say" Deaf Forever are out showcasing there own style of music and are booked in back in the studio to record there second EP.

1. Please tell us about the about the band and its members.

Band – There’s not a lot to say really Lance – lead vocals/guitar/4 string cigarbox guitar, Tucker – Bass/backing vocals, Willow – Drums/backing vocals. We all came together via the internet looking for people to put a band together. Lance and Tucker were the first to meet and then after months of looking Willow came into the fold, we all got along really well in all ways and enjoy being around each other. When we are in the band room really cool things happen and its really exciting.

2. Who does the majority of the writing? Is it a group thing or does someone handle the writing duties?

Band – usually one of us will come in with the bones of a song and then the whole band will continue to write the song if we all like it.

3. Where is the band based out of ? Where did you want to the band to end up? What was the dream city to have as your home base once you got out of your scene?

Band – We are based out of Darlington in the North East of England, We’d like to take the band as far as possible really. We had a target for this year of playing gigs in Middlesbrough, Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle. We have done all of those apart from Newcastle so next we’ll be trying to get out to other city’s. We’re happy being known as a band from Darlington in the North East of England.

4. What is your genre? What bands do you use to explain to people what you sound like?

Band – We are an Alternative Noise band, We made up our own genre because we didn’t feel like we fitted in with anything. We take bits from lots of different genre’s and put them together in our own way. It gives us a lot of freedom to do and write whatever we want for example we have been writing a couple of new songs with a modified four string cigarbox guitar that’s ran through Lance’s guitar rig, We don’t have to think about if it fits in with our genre of music because we can do whatever we like. We also wanted to not be associated with ALT Rock and what is perceived as alternative music, a lot of which is really pop music and not something we want associated with so we decided it would be better for us to just make up our own genre. We really just Rattle off a number of our influences.

5. Can we buy anything from you Cd's shirts etc and where can we buy them?

Band – No not yet, we are broke lol we will be getting all of the above for the end of the year.

6. Do you have studio time lined up anything new coming soon?

Band – Yeah we are due in in November, We have 2 albums written so we are going to record them at the same time. One is concept album called hellish night out which we will put out around May/June time 2019 and the other one is called the kingdom of the madness which will be due hopefully around December.

7. Have you ever been on tour?
If so where and with who?
Band – unfortunately not but it’s something we are looking to do.

8. What is your favorite band? Who are the bands who influenced you?

Band – We have so many but here it goes:

Motorhead/Nirvana/Pantera/Alice In Chains/Metallica/Neil Young/L7/Pixies/Gaslight Anthem/RATM/Soundgarden/Smashing pumpkins/Babes In Toyland/Soil/Bush/Down/Foo Fighters/Auidoslave/Greenday/Offspring/Korn/dope/Bully/Slaves/Royal Blood/Snot/Silverchair/Justin Johnson/Samantha Fish/Oasis/2pac/Dr Dre/NWA/AC-DC/Aerosmith/Queen Just to many to list.

9. Do you have a website? And do I have to verify that I am 18 to enter it?

Band – nope

10. What about your music do you want people to remember? What is the quality you want to hit people when they hit play?

Band – We want people to be taken back and really enjoy our music. Our music is very unique and we want people after they have seen us to think that was totally different from what I usually see and hear and that’s the response we generally get from people after a gig because we use so many different styles of music to make our own people don’t know what they are going to get from song to song. We have to really pay attention to writing the set list because if that’s off, if it doesn’t flow then people won’t get it. We want the quality to be hi in every aspect because that’s what the music deserves, We ultimately want people to think that it is was really good and totally different from what is about now and if people don’t its cool because we are enjoying it.

11. Name a person who is integral to your band that nobody knows about , what person drives your band like they are part of the band? Who is the extra member ?
