Airforce
The Black Box Recordings Volume 2 EP
Review by Allyson Kingsley music journalist/administrator of Cathedral of Metal

Airforce is:
Dilian Arnaudov: vocalist
Chop Pitman: guitarist
Tony Hattan: bassist
Doug Sampson: drummer
Paul Dianno (Iron Maiden): guest vocals on “Sniper”

I will start by saying this EP kicks major ass and why they have not been signed to a label all this time, one wonders. This four piece heavy metal outfit from London slams your eardrums with classic hard rock in the vein of new wave of British heavy metal. One can hear their listed influences of Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, and Van Halen in their massive riffs and vocal delivery. Airforce was formed around 1986 and have recently played with Sabaton at The Hills of Rock in Bulgaria. “Finest Hour” showcases dynamic fretwork and fucking brings it to the table. Equally potent is “Sniper”, 100 percent balls out down n dirty rock and roll. Dilian's vocals are edgy, encapsulating true rock debauchery. May Airforce persevere to serve up more metal goodness.
