WRETCH Interview

1. Please tell us about the about the band and its members.

.Wretch formed in 1985 right when I graduated from high school. We were a staple of the Cleveland metal scene until 1989 when we moved to California after some member changes. That move proved to be the demise of the band at that time. We reformed around 2004 and have been going strong since. The current members of Wretch hve made this the strongest lineup of the band since the 80's.
 I'm not really sure where the name came from. The band had the name of MX before I joined and after some member changes which included me joining the name was changed to Wretch.

2.Where is the band based out of ? Where did you want to the band to end up? What was the dream city to have as your home base once you got out of your scene?

 We are mainly based out of Cleveland Ohio. The metal scene here is not too bad. There are several clubs to play at and usually some good opening spots for touring bands. There are a bunch of Cleveland bands that are killer, too many to mention!!

4.What is your genre? What bands do you use to explain to people what you sound like?

We are a power metal band. We used to be considered a thrash band back in the 80's but we are definitely a power metal band!!


5.Can we buy anything from you Cd's shirts etc and where can we buy them?

 We have released 3 full length cd's and several ep's. We try to put out great sounding cd's with killer songs that have dual guitar attack with a monster rhythm section and soaring vocals.

6.Do you have studio time lined up anything new coming soon?

 We are currently writing and recording for the next cd. Hopefully we'll be done with it sometime in the fall of 2018.

7. Have you ever been on tour? If so where and with who?

We have some shows locally from now until the end of the year. We are working on a tour of Europe in March of 2019.


8.What are the plans for the future?

 We'll keep on writing and touring as long as people want to listen to us!! HAHAHA!!! We love doing this so we plan on doing this for a long, long time even though we're a bunch of old guys!! HAHAHA!!!

10.What about your music do you want people to remember? What is the quality you want to hit people when they hit play?

 Hopefully they remember the melody lines. I right 90% of the music and most of the melody lines and I always hope that they stick in the listeners head after they hear them.
