Unholy Desecration EP Review

Many of you may be familiar with Dante’s “Inferno”, which is the first part of the 3-part epic poem, Divine Comedy, written in the 14th century. With exquisite and savory detail, Dante describes an excursion through the 9 circles of hell. Whether or not you know this masterpiece, fear not because Unholy Desecration have taken the liberty of supplying the world with a worthy soundtrack to the epic work that drags you through hell and back multiple times.

There was no official soundtrack to “Inferno”, but Unholy Desecration have just recently changed that with their “hellishly wonderful” (how is that for an oxymoron!) 3-song Born of Evil EP released through Confused Records. Unholy Desecration have captured an aura of raw hellfire in this recording that is hard to come by. This south-Texas quintet have teased the extreme music scene with a snippet of what is to come. Each track is furious, raw and savage. The raw, anguished vocals take me back to the true days of black metal back when Dark Throne’s A Blaze in the Northern Sky and Bathory’s Under the Sign of the Black Mark were making constant rounds on my turntable. But wait…track 2, “Born of Evil” takes us back to the Human Waste days of Suffocation as vocalist Fremitus Diaboli takes the take down several notches to death metal glory. There is some really impressive vocal ranges and power that, to me, highlight this EP. Arnold “Blast” endlessly pounds his defenseless drums to a pulp and nicely keeps the music at a frantic pace but not without nice tempo changes that emphasize the darkness in some parts of the compositions. “Blades of War” closes out this impressive debut disc. The memorable riffing leaves a taste of heavenly foulness in your mouth that leaves you brazenly salivating for more. The song structures flow nicely, and although each song is blistering fast, these are more than just non-stop, 100 miles an hour songs; this is also flavorful catchiness that leaves your head pounding even after you’ve stopped listening because you suddenly realize that too much evilness may be too much if taken in all at once. Luckily, Unholy Desecration have slowly eased us in to their fiery world with a brief, 14-minute EP, but be ready because their next offering may not be so considerate of our thresholds. I hope these guys keep their raw, unpolished sound in their next offering because this aura does a lot for this music. It’s like when Possessed recorded Seven Churches; it was magic. If Possessed were to re-record Seven Churches today, I seriously doubt it would measure up to the original because that magic at that given moment could not be duplicated. This is what Unholy Desecration have done; they captured a certain aura and sound that adds to the recording.
Check this out now if you like your music aggressive, memorable and rawer than frozen meat. If blue flames start to flicker out of your headphones/speakers, don’t say I didn’t warn you. Dante would be proud; the soundtrack to the Inferno awaits!!

EXCEPT ONE JOINS PINK! PR

Except One is the brainchild born from four musicians, who wanted to share their universe.

After several dates in the South of France, a Parisian stage Tour and several pub crawls, the band released their first OP “O.M.N.I. #1” (French acronym for Unidentified Musical Object).
The group then focused on live dates and saw the long awaited arrivals of a cat, a mixer, and –
especially – a second guitarist. This new addition (the guitarist, not the cat) allowed the band to

develop their musical style. This evolution can be witnessed in the new 7 titles EP “Haunted
Humanity”.

And to resume, Except One is flowers, birds and children … all thrown in a blender!

This is high impact for radio / press now!! request for interviews can be set up by emailing metalcoffefpr@gmail.com

THE BLACKTONES Release New Official Video For ‘The Upside Down’

The Blacktones – The Upside Down [Official Video]
Taken from the album: The Day We Shut Down The Sun | 2017
Created by: Elena Cabitza
Italian Sludge Metal band The Blacktones have released an official video for the song The Upside Down, taken from their full length The Day We Shut Down The Sun released worldwide via Sliptrick Records towards the end of 2017.
Here’s what the band had to say about it: “After the intro, it’s the first song of the album, the true start of the journey.
It’s inspired by the Stranger Things show, but the video embraces all the concept album, thanks to the outstanding vision and animations created by Elena Cabitza. It’s an oniric journey in a dimension where the Major Arcana of the concept lives, encountering them starting from V – The Pope to 0 – The Fool, following the listening order of the album. In tarot’s card meanings, The Fool is the beginning, travelling through all others Major Arcana. But in our upside down world, it is not a journey to gain wisdom, instead it’s to run away from madness”
The Blacktones – The Day We Shut Down The Sun
Formed in Cagliari, Italy on March of 2011, The Blacktones started life as an instrumental band from an idea of Sergio Boi and Gianni Farci. The style of the band has been influenced by the Stoner/Grunge/Metal wave of the nineties and so on, with the addition of poly-rhythms. The Blacktones have consciously changed things up from their previous album, and as such, the new album The Day We Shut Down The Sun contains more aggressive songs with strong guitar arrangements imbued with accessible complexity. The Day We Shut Down The Sun | Released November 21st, 2017 on Sliptrick Records
The Blacktones are:

WITHERFALL RELEASE ACOUSTIC VERSION OF "ODE TO DESPAIR"

(Los Angeles, CA - March 1, 2019) -
US dark melodic metal band WITHERFALL have announced the r
elease of their acoustic ver
sion of "Ode to Despair". The original recording can be found on WITHER
FALL's previous album A Prelude To Sorrow. The acoustic version is going to be released on the Vintage EP, which is set for release on March 22nd and will be available during the group's upcoming European tour.

"Being invited as special guests on Sonata Arctica's 'Acoustic Adve
ntures' tour we knew we had to re-imagine some of our songs to realize the vibe of the tour. Our partners at Century Media came up with a brilliant idea of recording a few of these and including them on the upcoming 'Vintage EP'. Being our most successful single to date "Ode to Despair" was the first one thought of. The track was recorded in a split session bookending a tour of Japan with Kamelot. Vocals and guitars were literally followed by a 5am flight to the Far East, then after the tour we headed straight from the airport to the studio. This is also the first song to incorporate new keyboardist; Alex Nasla. We also had the privilege of working with James "Timbali" Cornwell (Earh Wind & Fire, Janet Jackson) who provided the percussion th
at really makes this track standout."

Fans can listen to the acoustic version of "Ode to Despair" here: https://youtu.be/pq0MCWvrz7s

WITHERFALL previously released their single and Tom Petty cover, "I Won't Back Down", from the Vintage EP. Watch the official music video of the cover here: https://youtu.be/lzxZ3DU_CoI

The Vintage EP is available for pre-order now. WITHERFALL will be offering an exclusive green "Verdigris" vinyl limited to 200 copies alongside t-shirt bundles. The transparent-magenta "Vintage Pinot Noir" vinyl, limited to 100 copies, is already sold out from Century Media's European Store.

Black vinyl, the limited hand-numbered CD Digipak, and digital formats are available here: https://witherfallband.lnk.to/vintage. Pre-saves are also available, where fans have a chance to win guitar lessons with Joseph Michael, as well as guitar picks, a patch, a Vintage poster, and a Vintage t-shirt.
