TRAYL INTERVIEW

1. Trayl started out in late 2012 with me just messing around the computer, recording songs here and there. I was unhappy in the band I was in at the time so I ended up writing a lot of songs in a very small space of time.
I figured that I should record them and make an album! I am the only band member at this point.

2. Like I've explained in the first question I do all of the writing.

3. Since I live in Ottawa and Montreal is so close I would love to end up there. The metal community over there is phenomanel.

4. I hate this question haha! I've got so many influences from all sorts of different musical backgrounds and all of that tends to bleed into my writing. I would still say that Post-Metal is where my music fits in at the moment.

5. All of my music is available to download for free at trayl.bandcamp.com. I never wanted to profit from my music; it's there to share with everyone, if you like it then that is worth so much more than your money is to me.

6. I have a new album coming within a couple of months! An actual release date will be announced soon at https://www.facebook.com/traylband

7. With only myself in the band, it's pretty impossible to even set up a show in my hometown.

8. At the moment Between the Buried and Me is probably my favorite band. As far as influences go: Meshuggah, In Flames, Neurosis, Today is the Day, King Diamond, Iron Maiden, Opeth... The list goes on.

9. I would say https://www.facebook.com/traylband is the main website. You can be any age to access it.

10. I would love that a listener just gives in to where the song takes them. Music is an experience and it should make you feel fulfilled and happy.

11. There are lots to be quite honnest. These are my friends who lend me recording equipment when I need it.

12. My main recording guitars at the moment are a Jackson Soloist and a Fender Stratocaster, Takamine Acoustic Guitar, for bass Ibanez SG, the drums are always changing, and mostly Korg for keybords as well as virtual plugins.

13. Probably Nu Metal. Definitely not ALL of it but I'm talking about early Korn, System of a Down...

14. Thomas Haake (drums), Mike Patton (vocals), Steve DiGiorgio (bass), Paul Waggoner (Lead Guitar), Luc Lemay (Rhythm Guitar).

15. Please continue to send your love and support! New album coming very soon which should reallyblow everyone away!
