EDGE OVER EDGE NTERVIEW

1. Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Mat Austin (Vocals/Guitar) started EdgeOverEdge with one goal in mind. Write and perform great rock & metal tunes based solely on what we like and not try and conform to some specific genre. Zachary Lyon (Drums/Vocals) brings a strong command of time and balances out the heavier vocals with soothing harmonies. And Quentin Austin brings the thunder of the bass and a younger perspective to create a unique blend with these seasoned veterans.

2. What’s the origin of the band’s name?
To live life to the fullest... Take it one Edge Over the Edge.

3. Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Cherryvale, KS. We come a small community so our "scene" is really made up of multiple scenes as we have to play regionally more often than not.

Are there any local bands you could recommend?
Flowsion, The Caddywhompus Band, Galaxia, Elder Earth, Edge of Zephyr, Awaiting Daylight, Malus Dextra, The Less Fortunate, Forsaken Few, Soheil Al Fard, Take the Day, Kirra, Reliance Code, Among the Missing.... so many more!

4. How would you describe your style?
The groove is priority number one! Rock, metal & the kitchen sink!

6. Do you have any new music in the works?
Our full length album is due this fall.

7. How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
Playing shows fairly regularly (got to pay the rent) while we try to finish recording.

8. What plans do you have for the future as a band?
The music video for "The Prince & the Prophet" is currently in production with an incredible team, Stillpoint Visions and we are actually writing new material while recording the old. Adding new visuals to our stage show and lining up some new merch.
