1.Why Bass?
I personally think that bass is more rare
choice of instrument on metal-music than the obvious electric guitar. In that
sort of way it attracted me.
2.Do you think it is unfair or just lack of
knowledge bass gets so little credit?
Yes, it’s a bit shame that bass doesn’t get
the appreciation it really deserves. Bass is really essential part of the bands
sound, without it there is something profound missing.
3.What kind of bass do you use? Model , color
, year , And why
I play the Jackson David Ellefson signature
concert bass CBX IV. Black color. It has nice metal-bass sound and bottom end.
4.Tell us about your amplification
I have Eden Nemesis bass amp. I have been
using it for years now.
5. With all of that being said do you feel
tone is an important thing for bass?
Yeah, bass tone is really important in that
sort of way that it forms The backbone of good metal-band. I personally like
bass tone to be distinctive so it stands out from bands overall sound.
6.Do you prefer 5 strings over 4 string?
Personally I think 4 strings is enough,
because you can down tune your bass. As a bassist you need more the low-ends
than high-ends. Maybe someday I will get 5-stringer also for my choice of
weaponry.
7.Who is your favorite bassist?
Steve Harris from Iron Maiden is definitely my
all-time favorite and idol.
8. Who is your least favorite bassist?
I don’t really like Flea (Red hot chili
peppers). That funk-bass thing isn’t just my cup of tea musically.
9.Why do you think women seem to be attracted
to playing bass?
Well, are they? (laugh 😃). I welcome them to play bass. You can get on with bass little bit
quicker than trying the guitar. Just to remember keep your nails trimmed down
ladies 😃
10. What bassist dead or alive would you like
a private lesson with?
I would like to have lesson with Steve Harris
and especially on how he can play that galloping bass in so high tempo
fingerstyle.
11. Bonus question
Bobby Doll , Nikki Sixx , Les Claypool , Billy
Sheehan which is more ridiculous and why
Les Claypool, I don’t understand his thing
musically. I would pick Nikki Sixx from these options, a real badass
rock-bassist 🤘
