Grief Collector - From Dissension To Avowal

Bio:
Minnesota Doom Metal masters Grief Collector have teamed up with world renowned Doom metal vocalist Robert Lowe, AKA "The Voice Of Doom" formerly of Doom metal legends Candlemass and Solitude Aeturnus.

The new album called "From Dissension to Avowal" is a 5 song concept album that takes you on a journey through the 5 steps of experiencing "grief". Each song represent one of those steps. Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance.

Slow and mid tempo grooves, monstrously heavy riffs meet emotionally charged, sad, thought provoking lyrics sung by legendary Doom Metal vocalist Robert Lowe that will personally take you From Dissension all the way To Avowal as if you experienced yourself.

Robert Lowe has a one of a kind way of expressing emotion of every lyric, Miller crushes every drum groove, Johnson unloads the doom arsenal on guitar and bass.

Collectively all 3 members have re-awakened the spirit of classic doom metal in paying tribute to all who have passed on, and to those left behind to suffer and move through the reoccurring and sometime never ending stages of Grief.

Line Up:
Brad - Drums
Matt - Guitars/Bass
Robert Lowe - Vocals

Tracks:

1. A Prelude to Grief
2. Eyes Of Fog
3. Consuming Indignation
4. A Mournful Pact
5. Of Misery and Woe
6. To Grips

Roaring Truth the GRINDER int

Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.

Roaring Truth began as a vision in February 2015, when Dillon Moses and myself (Marty Hill) met through Craigslist and rounded out its current roster as of May 2018.  Roaring Truth is: James (J.J.) Jones- vocals, Marty Hill- guitar, Dillon Moses- guitar, Jordan Greer- bass, and James Michael McLester- drums.
What’s the origin of the band’s name?
I originally wanted to name the band “Hard Truth”, however, J.J. wanted to change it up a bit. He asked me one day, “Have you ever heard a lion roar?” I said, “No, not that I can remember.” He replied, “Man, it’s POWERFUL!” So, “Roaring Truth” it was!
Where is the band based out of and what is your music scene like there? Are there any local bands you could recommend?

We are based in Dallas, Texas. Our music scene is dominated by “Tribute” bands, for the most part. Our drummer, James Michael McLester has a Tesla tribute called “Modern Day Cowboys”, so if you like Tesla, check them out!
How would you describe your style?
We are melodic hard rock/heavy metal band. One podcast said we were a cross between Anthrax and Iron Maiden. We’ve also had comparisons to Queensryche, Scorpions, and Rush. I think the commonality in all of these comparisons is that there is melody and hooks in all of those bands material, as well as ours. We have one song on the EP called “Black Box” that a producer from Austin called “Chug-Rock”. I don’t know exactly what that is, but it sounds cool!
What have you released so far and what can someone expect from your works?

Listening to our CD is like a roller coaster ride- we’ll take you fast, slow, up, down, and all the way around! We have acoustic guitars on some songs and face melting riffs on others. Just like a roller coaster, there’s twists and turns everywhere.
Do you have any new music in the works?
Yes, we are in pre-production for 3 new ones currently. There’s also a cover of a very popular 80’s hit that we will “metalize” and I think people will dig it! For right now, though, the song’s title is a secret…
How about playing shows and touring, have anything planned out?
We are in talks with promoters presently, and hope to jump on some festival dates. We’ll keep everyone posted on social media.
What plans do you have for the future as a band?
Helping lead the way in what is now being called, “The New Wave of Classic Heavy Metal”! There’s a rock revolution coming. People are crying out for a return to metal’s roots of scorching riffs and chanting melodies.
Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
We are on Spotify, iTunes, IHeart, Apple- you name it, we’re there.
What is it you’d like a listener to remember the most when hearing your music for the first time?

That it was an experience…That the songs, both musically and lyrically, have a special depth and energy to them. It is my wish that we have created music that jumps out of your speakers or headphones to captivate, and exhilarate, your mind, soul, and imagination.

WALK WITH KINGS SIGN WITH METAL COFFEE

Walk With Kings are a Metal band from Wollongong who tip their caps to the greats such as Pantera, Slayer, Sepultura and Metallica whilst utilising production and stylistic inspiration from everything in between and recent.

Originating members Nick Whiting (Lead Guitarist) and Paul Ross (Bass) teamed up with friend and producer Lee Sergeant (Rhythm Guitarist) to forge the origins of Walk With Kings. Using modern recording technology, they programmed drums to write and fill the void of having no drummer. They released their No Lights E.P recorded and produced all in house by Lee Sergeant with then singer Aaron Murphy. Aaron was unable to sustain his role in the band due to life commitments. WWK advertised for a Drummer and a Singer and after the usual arduous task of sifting through the tyre kickers and delusional narcissists they stumbled across Cale Storer (Drums) and Joel Jennings (Vocals) Cale also being a producer teamed up with Lee to record Walk With Kings first single as the new line up "The Long Shadow." With the foundations built by Nick,
Paul and Lee paired with Joel's impressive "brutal to melodic" Vocal abilities and Cale's hard-hitting groove style of Drumming... The next chapter of Walk With Kings was born.

"Overall, I'm excited to hear more from WALK WITH KINGS as they obviously have a lot of potential and they certainly have a sound that can't really be pigeonholed into one particular sub-genre of metal. This is good for them because it allows growth and expansion. I can safely say that after listening to their tracks, WALK WITH KINGS is a band to keep your eyes and ears on. This is metal folks!"

Dehumanise INTERVIEW

1.What is the name of your band and how did you come up with it? What is your name and what do you do for the band?
Dehumanise. It was a name I decided to use to represent the music and the lyrical topics and how we are all becoming more and more dehumanised with the way people are living and destroying everything good in the world.

2.Tell us where you are based and describe the scene. How do you think where you are located influences your sound.

We are from the Midlands of England, I was born in Scotland and been all over Europe, so I wouldnt say where we are from has influenced our sound as all 3 of us listen to bandS from all over the world.
The scene is ok, there is a lot of very hard working bands that are very good at what they do and people that organise good rock, metal and punk shows and work hard.
Same as anywhere, some are good some are crap.

3.Who influences your sound that would surprise people?

Lots of things influence our sound, too broad to put in a short interview. We are a 3 piece that are on the same page regarding the vibe of the band but bring a lot from a lot of very different places, obviously we cross over a lot too.

4.Are you endorsed by musical companies , if so who , and if not who would you like to be endorsed by?

I would need you to talk to Kyle the guitarist and Dreads the drummer to get the kit they use and their preferences but I use Spector basses and orange heads and Hartke cabs, I was previously endorsed by Fret King basses, Sound Control, and few other companies over the years.
5.When you started what was your ultimate goal? And how close to the goal are you now?
To gig a lot, to record and tour. that is what we do so that has been achieved. You will always want more shows and bigger ones as well as the small and medium but as long as we are playing we are happy.
6.In today's digital environment it takes creative strategy to keep things moving. What creative ideas do you have to keep your band relevant over time?
t has always taken creative strategy to keep a band moving, look at the classic releases and what some of those bands were doing.

We do lots of limited release and one off and unusual formats and good artwork on shirts and releases but thats par for the course in a band. you are always looking for an eye catching angle on merch to make your product of more value to the listener where you can.

7.We've all seen a terrible live band that is awesome on CD. Is that cool with you or do you lose respect for bands that cannot pull it off live?
Its all about doing it live, if you cant do it live dont bullshit people by producing a fake over produced record, go practice till you can do it right.

8.Tell us your “core” are you Metal , Rock , Punk , Pop etc because people just have to categorize these days you know?  crust punk

9.This is a tough question but a very real reality, Is your band actually talented or just popular? Many bands make it with a cliche or publicity stunts etc. Would you accept fame even if it was just because of being the “ in” thing or is it actually important to you that you gain favor with talent?

Of course its about talent. its about entertaining an audience, people have a shit week and wanna forget their problems and we are there to identify with them, to acknowledge their frustration and give them a good night playing loud, heavy and hard music.
A band can be popular as well as talented, but a lot of the popular stuff is just processed crap we are force fed in the media and im talking about metal, punk etc too, not just x factor pop garbage.
10.Tell us what to expect from you live. Nothing is more boring than watching bands stare at the floor and bob their heads to music nobody but the band knows. What can your band offer in a live setting that people will remember?

Your question is a matter of taste, Motorhead didnt run about the stage like retards, people were there for the music. If you wanna watch a teenage hardcore band running about fine, go watch that, if you wanna watch a live show with lighting and video and lazers, cool go watch that, if you want something else, find it and go see it, ive seen some awesome bands deliver extremely powerful performances and in totally different ways.
We play the way we play, if its for you great. if you get it? you get it.

11. What releases have you put out , When will we see something new?

Debut album Symptom of the Human Condition ( the cd has our EP on it as a free bonus)  the abum is out on tape too, and we did a short run of 5" vinyl.
the next album will be ready around dec 2019

12. If you have videos where can we see them?

we have or own youtube channel and you can see our videos there or on our facebook page.

13.Everybody has Bandcamp , ReverbNation , Soundcloud , etc
Why do you think this is so important? Doesn't it seem like everyone is giving everything out for free?

I never said it was important. we have our online presence essentially to book gigs and then advertise our shows, we have 20 UK shows and a tour in Europe with Monstrosity in 2 months time. we use the internet and pages to raise awareness but we arent a band that sits online all the time posting crap, we are out gigging .
Some bands seem to feel the need to hand out music for free, thats up to them, we have tours to pay for and our costs to try and cover to keep the band moving forward and producing more music and doing more show and tours in as many cities in as many counties as we can.

14.Best moment of your career so far?

I have played on 20 albums and toured all over the world and supported and done session for many great acts, I have had some awesome career highs, but to be honest? i only really ever see whats coming up as the highs, there is no real point looking back at a tour with a big band that happened last year, we say... on to the next one

15.Your message to the fans?

Ill tell them face to face, come see us, ill talk to you after if you like our music or drop us a private memo.
dont analyse it, enjoy it.

Bonus Question who do you bring back

Dime , Cliff , Dio , Lemmy , Randy

Lemmy.........every time, crewed for em in 2007.

Aetherial New Single: Kill The Master

KILL THE MASTER: Aetherial Release Second Single and Lyric Video Kill The Master, the second in a series of singles, has been released by Melbourne Deathsters Aetherial, accompanied by a new lyric video. Bassist Cassandra George on the single “It’s a grim social observation of modern-day, self induced oppression and control; cleverly conditioned and orchestrated by those in power and those controlling them. It’s about a growing unrest and a need to take action against the unconditional greed prevalent in our world.”   The song inspired by Aldous Huxleys’ Brave New World, is a dark aggressive invocation to seek knowledge, question everything and kill the master responsible for inhibiting our freedom to live, not just to simply exist. Recorded in its entirety in Melbourne by Aetherial and mixed and mastered by rising star Adam Bentley from ABentley Music in Tennessee. The lyric video created by the bands production company, Spirit Against the Flesh Production is chilling in its simplicity and reflective of the decaying moral fabric of our society. Now streaming on Spotify, Youtube and available for purchase from the Aetherial Bandcamp .

RED HILLS INTERVIEW

After a short creative leave, we continued to work on our new material and returned to rehearsals. We have a lot of plans for the near future, but it’s far too soon to speak of it. Currently, working on maxi-single or EP is of high priority.
When did you decide you wanted to be in a band?

Many people keen on music want to create a band or join an existing one. It is difficult to say when we decided to be in a band. Probably, in childhood, when we took a first interest in music or playing a certain musical instrument. In particular, if we talk about Red Hills, each musician from the original lineup decided to become a part of the band by himself. Just one day we popped up in the right place at the right time, namely, at the Iron Curtain Festival in 2000.

What is different about being a musician than you imagined?

Everything seemed much easier and more profitable . Being a musician is hard work and, unfortunately, it is frequently low-paid.

What gear do you use and why?

As for the gear manufacturers, there are no particular favourites. Generally, we use Marshall tube amps, AKG and Sennheiser microphones. Probably, our musical idols who used the same brands in their professional life predetermined such a choice.

What music do you listen to that would surprise people?

Different music − from old-school death metal or thrash metal to modern rock music. All music is beautiful whatever the style (except for pops ).

How do we find your music and merch to buy?

Our album titled Pleasure Of Destruction is sold on popular digital platforms, such as iTunes, GooglePlay or Amazon Music. If you are interested in physical media, then you can find our CD on Ebay, Amazon, or our label’s official store https://metalscraprecords.com/shop/en/store/product/view/1/4251. You can also look for it in the sound stores of your city.

How did you get a record deal? Or do you want a record deal or are you DIY?

No, we are not independent. Frankly speaking, we didn’t look for a label, or rather the label fell into our lap. We have a valid record deal with Total Metal Records, which expires in 2019. After the expiry of this deal, maybe we’ll re-record the album Pleasure Of Destruction. Well, be that as it may, but if it does, we’ll make it only after the EP.

What bands do people compare your music to?
We’ve heard a lot about comparing our music to various bands. Typically, it was compared with early musical compositions of In Flames and Dark Tranquility.

Are you pro Spotify / streaming services ? Or do you think it hurts sales?

Yes, we are pro Spotify. We believe that streaming services can help in reaching out to with a large audience.
What’s the ultimate goal for the band?

Grammy Award, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame .

Will we see you tour?

Certainly. But we can say nothing concrete about the tour for now. There are some changes in the band lineup as well as major changes in the approach to composing.

Who would you love to tour with?

We’d like to tour with Metallica. But, as a matter of fact, we don’t know how we’ll fit in with our style . Probably, also with Children of Bodom, In Flames, Dark Tranquility, Kalmah, etc.

What is your favorite song of yours and why?

The song Bitch . Read the lyrics and you’ll understand, it is real-life (joke!)

Why should people take the time to listen to your band over the thousands of other bands?

In our opinion, we tried to create something, maybe, unusual, not like everyone else but in the Melodic Death style. Did we manage to do it? More likely yes than no. We are not here to judge. Let the listeners do it.

What are your favorite music websites labels podcast etc?

Our favourite music labels are Nuclear Blast and Metal Blade Records. It’s rather difficult to answer about websites because social media are extremely popular today and that’s where everything takes place.

Is imagery important to you? Do you judge albums by the cover?

Under any circumstances you can’t judge people, music, computer games, meal, etc. by the cover. You should listen to music, and, maybe, more than once. It is music that creates the image of a musician who composes or performs it, and not the other way around.

If you could choose a cover song your band mates would hate what would it be?

It would be any pop song. Because we hate pops (joke!)

Is the record or live show more important?

Of course, live show is more important. You can estimate the skills of both the band and its musicians only during live performance. In addition, the live show atmosphere, nothing can be compared with these emotions.

Name 3 people dead or alive you would want to play your music for.

We’d like to play our music for Chuck Schuldiner, Father of Death Metal. It would also be interesting to hear the views of Ronnie James Dio as well as the musicians of such bands as In Flames, Dark Tranquility, Children of Bodom, Slayer, etc.

Lemmy Ozzy Dio and Rob Halford in a cage match who wins?

It is impossible to mark the distinction between them. They are all cool in their own way. They are all winners!

BEING "ALIVE" IS BEAUTIFUL SIGN WITH METAL COFFEE

Being “alive“ is beautiful was founded in summer 2017 by Christina Earlymorn, who experienced heavy depression that time and went suicidal during that period of time.
She was thinking to herself: „Being “alive“ is sooo damn beautiful...“
And so on, the bands name was born. She decited to write lyrics and songs about the roots of her depression instead of jumping in front of a train.

Christina Earlymorn was born on March the 7th 1990 in a small town in bavaria near the austrian border to Braunau (Austria). She started to play the guitar at the age of 10 in order to have something on which she could let out her frustration and aggression after experiencing a violent parent to child relationship with her father and a parallel physical abuse by a katholic nun in elementary school.

During the years in school Christina experienced an inensive amount of bullying, because she wasn´t „cool enough“ to be with „the cool“.
Her mother who is a Jehovah´s witness always told her to simply pray to god. Christina did that many years, but saw that nothing was happening. Anxiety and depression manifested and haunted her for many years. Literally playing the guitar and getting into the heavy styles of music helped her during that time.
Many years she searched to join a band. But in her region there is a very very small metal/rock music scene. Most bands had all members in their boat or simply don´t wanted her to join.
So she began to form in 2008 her first solo band called FINSTERORT.

She began to play besides the guitar also the bass and the drums. She learned over the past years how to record music alone in a home studio and does this until now in her own little private home studio.
Being “alive“ is beautiful`s sound is a slow, midtempo, doomy and sometimes fast tremolo picked black metal sound played on a 4 string bass guitar.
The useage of the heavy distorted bass guitar sometimes sounds like a regular guitar, but in fact there is no guitar to hear in all Being “alive“ is beautiful songs, except for one song: „Verzweiflung“ (only for the guitar solo part.)
So. Why no guitar?
Because Christina is mainly a guitar player and wanted a more primitive sound. She cannot archieve that sound on a guitar, because she will be instantly fiddeling around, playing solos and do technical stuff, which would kill the vibe of that project. The drums are held in an also slow manner, combined with some doublebass and blastbeat shots.
As mentioned before, the lyrical content is held on the depressive side of life.
Besides depression there is also anxiety and transsexualism as topics featured within.
The lyrics are all sung in Christina´s mother language which is german.
For further songs and releases there can be added other languages, because we think all what serves the song will the best way to go!
Christina`s singing style is a high pitched more black metallish one, which sets a contrast to the heavy „ballsy“ bass tone.

This is high impact for radio / press now!! request for interviews can be set up by emailing metalcoffefpr@gmail.com as well as request for music or any other info you need.Every reply we get will be broadcast on our social media platform of over 30,000! BRIGHTDELIGHT "Invoke" @ Metalcore Electronic

BRIGHTDELIGHT Exclaim Their Wish To ‘Invoke’

The BrightDelight members come from vastly different backgrounds and listen to different music style. For example, Stan (drummer) listens to a lot of deathcore, which is kinda extreme for others, but everyone tries to keep their ears and hearts open at all times, so there is a mix of classic rock, metalcore, post-hardcore and everything else on Invoke, the Russian bands new album. As their first album was metalcore, the band like to jokingly refer to Invoke as post-metalcore.
BrightDelight hope listeners will find things they like. Topics they can relate to and words they can connect to. Everyone needs something of their own, so the group wanted to make a body of work for everyone and show that we all share the same insecurities, vulnerabilities, problems and fears. But also that there will be light and you should find this light in yourself and help others.
The concept starts with the title – “invoke”. BrightDelight literally want everyone to invoke. And the whole album is a philosophical journey to the shadows of the past, nowadays and the future. Look into the depth and what do you see? A Cliche? A black and white world? Or a game of chess with the unknown enemy? Find out yourself.
The artwork was made by the talented designer Vyacheslav Nikulaichev. By default, he is a game designer, but he never fails us. The band wanted the cover to represent this process of invoking and to be mesmerizing and intriguing. They researched many different patterns like cosmos, mandalas, mythology and came up with something unique for for the album.
Invoke | Released March 29th, 2019 on Sliptrick Records
