1.Tell us who you are with and what youve been up to in 2020 so far?
My name is Craig Meinhart, and I'm the singer/lyricist for Silvertonguedevil & Acoustic Devil. The year started off hot for us because we'd released our new album PAX SATANICA back in October 2019 and were busy out promoting that. We were hitting up all our usual stops like Austin, Houston, San Antonio, OKC, etc, and had shows booked across the South and West all the way to summer. We played at a Horror Con in February called Cult Classic Convention in Bastrop TX where they made THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE,and played the Deep Ellum Metal Fest here in Dallas in March. And that was the last thing we've been able to do.
2.What plans have the virus changed for the band?
Pretty much everything. Not only did we have a ton of shows across the country booked, but were working on getting onto different festivals as well. We regularly play shows throughout the Southwest, but we were in the middle of booking a bunch of new places for us when everything came to a stop.
3.Do you think the virus in the big picture is help or hindrance for bands?
It's all bad for everyone so far music wise, but things could always be worse. You gotta stay positive, man, even when it's hard. It sucks because not only us but our friends are all greatly affected, from losing shows to losing jobs to getting sick or even worrying about getting sick. But eventually we'll come out of the other side of this thing, and that's what I'm focusing on.
4.Are you doing live streams or special video’s / releases for your fans stuck at home?
My bandmates are scattered across the DFW metroplex, so we haven't been able to get together during the quarantine. Sadly, no live streams for us. But I am working on a new music video for Acoustic Devil while we have some downtime, and am looking forward to getting that out there.
5.What are you doing in quarantine that would surprise people?
I don't know if it would surprise anyone, but one of the things I was doing right when the pandemic hit was shooting my first horror short. I've written stories for years, and do the bands' music videos and my podcast Warlord Radio, but I hadn't yet made a short movie. So I've been busy editing INTO DUST and touching up some other scripts.
6.What has been your mainstay music or netflix ?
Both. I still go in to work everyday (I'm essential, damnit), and work on various projects after that. But when I'm winding down at night I like to listen to music and watch movies. I also like reading books (currently reading Ed Lee's WHITE TRASH GOTHIC) and gaming (DOOM ETERNAL is kicking my ass).
7.Will you think differently about touring? And about groupies?
Still waiting for the whole groupie thing to kick in. Maybe we're doing it wrong, but I don't see too many metal bands living the MOTLEY CRUE lifestyle. It's hard to predict the future, and like everyone else we're just waiting to see what happens. But we love playing live, and will fight hard to keep live shows going.
8.Do you know anyone personally affected?
I know tons of people affected: bands, promoters, club owners, bartenders, waiters, t-shirt printers, sound people, security, etc. Everyone, in some fashion, is affected by this pandemic. But I've been lucky enough to stay healthy, and I don't know anyone personally that has gotten seriously ill from the Coronavirus.
9.Do you think its more important to blame someone for the virus or to get it solved
The blame game is pointless for us out in the trenches of everyday life. The most important thing is to find a way to get people back on their feet, both economically and health-wise.
10.Last question would you rather cover yourself in honey and throw yourself into a bees nest
Or see your bassist naked?
How many stings are we talking? One? I'll take the bees. More than four? I'd subscribe to Brandon's premium snapchat if I had to.

CORONA INTERVIEW : Jairo, bass/vocals of Chaos Synopsis,
1.Tell us who you are with and what you’ve been up to in 2020 so far.
Jairo: here Jairo, bass/vocals of Chaos Synopsis, been rocking with my mates since 2005. For 2020 we had a Mexican Tour with Kataklysm and plans of releasing a new EP.
2.What plans have the virus changed for the band?
Jairo: we were about to start our mexican tour with Kataklysm in 18/04, totally canceled and posponed for next year, if the music business get back.
3.Do you think the virus in the big picture is help or hindrance for bands?
Jairo: it totally fucked the bands. Nowadays, all the income mainly comes from tours and merchandise sold on the road, so, its a really bad year for any band out there.
4.Are you doing live streams or special video’s / releases for your fans stuck at home?
Jairo: we just released a single/music video made in quarantine called “Coronavirus”. Both our guitar players had symptoms of Covid-19, so our drummer recorded pretty much everything and I did the vocals, as we cannot meet each other for the time being.
5.What are you doing in quarantine that would surprise people?
Jairo: trying to work on a new album lyrics and composing some sounds, even trapped in home music can’t stop, sure, when children let me work, as they are also going crazy staying inside home the whole day.
6.What has been your mainstay music or netflix ?
Jairo: I’m trying to listen to some stuff, but mainly Netflix and PS4 for those days with 2 children in home.
7.Will you think differently about touring? And about groupies?
Jairo: I hope it won’t, but I personally believe the music business won’t get back to normal so soon. We’re still figuring out how things will be, but social distancing for the time being is the only truth we know. No groupies at all for a long time. =(
8.Do you know anyone personally affected?
Jairo: I know people with symptoms of the disease as I know a lot of friends that are also musicians or work with the music business that are completely lost and don’t have from where to get money for a living.
9.Do you think its more important to blame someone for the virus or to get it solved.
Jairo: just blaming don’t bring our lives back, we need to keep ourselves confined and wait for the vaccine to appear as soon as possible. Just science will save our asses right now, let’s hope we keep alive to see it happen.
10.Last question would you rather cover yourself in honey and throw yourself into a bees nest or see your bassist naked?
Jairo: as the bass player of the band, I have this horrible image everyday, hahaha. But when you tour and travel a lot with your buddies, you can’t run from seeing they naked sometimes, it sucks, but its part of being on a rock band that travels a lot.
Thanks a lot for the chat, see you all on the road someday.

HOMETOWN ROCKERS KIRRA MOVE INTO THE GRINDHOUSE AT METAL COFFEE
While Oklahoma City may be mostly known for its cowboy culture and surrounding oil wells, it is fast gaining notoriety for being home to KIRRA, the city's most promising hard rock music export since Hinder. Since their journey began, they've endured one hell of a rollercoaster ride having toured with their idols and suffering the untimely loss of their lead vocalist just days before a national tour. Despite the ups and downs, these talented musicians kept their eyes focused on the goals at hand and managed to keep up the momentum, while never losing the spark for their love of music and being in a touring band.
Kirra was formed in 2013 by Oklahoma City residents Daxton Page, Jesse Williamson, Ryne McNeill, and Zach Stafford. The band immediately began writing material and performing locally to build a following. In 2014, they independently released their debut CD Run Away, and throughout 2015 booked many regional gigs to avoid oversaturation of the local scene and expand their growing fanbase.
In early 2016, the band landed their first "real" tour supporting Saving Abel and later that summer when Saving Abel and The Veer Union were looking for a support act, they invited Kirra back out on the road as a support act once more. Towards the end of the year they reissued Run Away through Pavement Entertainment and followed up in early 2017 with the release of a single, Downfall. In the summer of 2017 the band parted ways with Pavement, and in October they released a second single entitled My Disease which peaked at #25 on the Billboard Indicator Mainstream Rock chart. The following month saw another national tour, this time with Saving Abel and Soil. As 2017 ended, the band tracked a few new songs for release in early 2018. Unbeknownst to the band, this would be the last studio recording with vocalist Jesse Williamson.
2018 was looking great for the band, starting off with confirmation that they would tour with Nothing More and The Contortionist, however just one week before the tour was to start, Jesse passed away in a tragic auto accident. While the band was devastated, they knew Jesse would want the band to continue without him, so they quickly held auditions and filled the spot with a temporary singer just in time to set out upon the month-long tour. After returning home, the band had some time to mourn the loss of Jesse and plan the release of the EP they recorded with him earlier. In April, the band independently released Fight or Flight, a five-song EP aptly named for their decision to keep the band going in the face of difficult circumstances. Over the Summer, the band began properly searching for a new lead vocalist, and placed an ad on Craig's List. After many auditions, the band discovered Gabriel Parson, who immediately won the band over with his voice and stage presence.
In February of 2019, the band released their Sixteen Suns single, and began talking with Eclipse Records about the possibility of releasing new material they were currently writing. The following, Kirra set out on yet another national tour, this time supporting Sevendust and Tremonti. Upon their return in April, the band released another single, this one entitled Decider and shortly thereafter signed with Eclipse Records for the new album. Throughout the month of May, the band worked tirelessly to record the new album. After a brief break to perform at Rocklahoma, they head back into the studio to mix the album, which will see a summer, 2019 release via Eclipse Records.
Gabriel Parson (vocals), Daxton Page (guitar), Ryne McNeill (bass), Zach Stafford (drums)

BUSTED SERIES : Diabology
This interview is part of the busted series. It is a series where I tell them I have tried to reach them through a representative and that the representative failed to reply.
What is the point of this series? Mainly that the most unknown part of this business to bands is exactly that BUSINESS! Bands trust people and often PAY people who make promises to them and those people will walk away with that money and that trust no questions asked and the band is none the wiser. That is where I come in while others steal your money and your trust I step in and get you noticed for free and I point out that you've been betrayed. Well Metal Coffee will not stand for that so for the bands getting ripped off an screwed out there Metal Coffee is taking care of you!
1.Tell us who you are with and what you've been up to in 2020 so far.
We are Diabology! We are:
Jesse Bergen – Vocals and Guitar
Jack Kleinman- Guitar
Joseph Mazisyuk-Bass
Matthew Morales-Drums
At the start of this year, we released our debut album, Nobody Believes Me! It’s out now on all streaming platforms.
2.What plans have the virus changed for the band?
Jesse: Well, all our shows have been cancelled, so that’s a pretty big bummer. We’re pretty much just writing until this passes.
3.Do you think the virus in the big picture is help or hindrance for bands?
Jack: Definitely a hindrance. Everyone’s shows are cancelled, merch sales are down…
Jesse: Yeah, some bands are profiting from masks and streams, but even then I think it’s not enough to outweigh the negatives.
4.Are you doing live streams or special video’s / releases for your fans stuck at home
Joe: We’ve also been live streaming rehearsals on Instagram every Saturday at 4PM.
Jesse: Yeah, it’s a good way to stay connected and it gives us another motive to practice.
5.What are you doing in quarantine that would surprise people?
Matt: I’ve been working at a kosher deli. That’s been fun.
Joe: No, I’ve just been playing a lot of bass.
Jack: I’ve been taking showers in the dark. I highly recommend it.
Jesse: I strip naked every Tuesday and perform a ritual to communicate with the dark gods of V’ktela. I’ve also been playing a lot of video games.
6.What has been your mainstay music or Netflix?
Jesse: Music!
Joe: Music, especially Opeth.
Jack: Music! Although Tiger King was pretty good.
Matt: Music. I’m annoying the shit out of my neighbors.
7.Will you think differently about touring? And about groupies?
Jesse: No. We were sanitary before all this started, and we will continue to be after its done.
Jack: Agreed.
Joe: No, I’ve never been interested in groupies and I still want to tour.
8.Do you know anyone personally affected?
Jesse: No, fortunately none of us know anyone who has contracted the virus.
Jack: Everyone is affected though, between the shutdowns and the economy. A lot of people we know are struggling, just not with the virus itself.
9.Do you think its more important to blame someone for the virus or to get it solved?
Jesse: BLAME THE CHINESE!
Jack: I think it’s pretty obvious that we need to solve it.
10.Last question would you rather cover yourself in honey and throw yourself into a bees nest
Or see your bassist naked?
Jack: I think I’ll go for Joe naked.
Matt: Same.
Jesse: I think I’ll go for the bees, thanks.
Joe: Same.
